Hi there,
A few things:
- You should have a short description in your landing page. You have 'home' up there and it should be something related to what you offer. How people would look for your services using the SE's. Not sure but mabe something like.. All your dog need: registration, fresh and frozen semen and more.
Do some research first.
- Same in the other pages, but keep it short. Up to 25 words.
- Not shure if you actually wrote your text or is it a picture?
Good luck! Loved the pictures!
Cheers,
Thank you for taking the time to review my site! I need some help with your suggestions, translation if you will :) I would love to put a short description in my landing page. What is that and how do I do it? Are you referring to the meta tags and keywords? I have something filled in there, not just 'home'. Thanks again for your help!
Hi there,
No, you have just 'home'.
Right click at the page>>>Page properties>>>General tab>>Title
What you write at the 'title' is what you see on the very top of your browser. Hope it helps.
Cheers,
Hi, here is a few things to have a look at:
1. Your title is in Italian? But the site is in English & would be good to incorporate both or have 2 areas of the site. (One for each language)
2. You have most of the sites text in an image format & the SE’s won’t pick up on what is written to help the SE’s with placing you on the web & help with your rankings. Best to change all text on your site from image format to real text using a web friendly font. When you do this, think very carefully of what words you will use for titles & text within the page to let the SE’s know what you are about so they can point visitors to you. So instead of calling your home page “Home” of which there are millions, call it something like “Cane Corso Dogs training” & make sure this phrase is incorporated in the pages text a few times. Do this with other pages & making each pages title & key words bespoke to each page., so don’t go & pace “Cane Corso Dogs” as a phase on each page unless this phase is actually on the page, as you will get penalised for this.
Thanks to both of you, that clears things up a bunch! I was under the impression (don't know why) that whatever I typed in meta tags is what would be picked up when people searched in search engines. I didn't know it was the browser title. So I will change those to something else reflecting what is written in each page. Also, I will change the Meta tags to reflect the content of each page. Next, I will change the image to text so it can be picked up by search engines. The reason I did it as an image is so the font would be the same no matter who looked at it. I guess it doesn't matter if it's pretty if no one can see it or find it. I will then need help getting my website. Hopefully with these changes, when someone googles 'Cane Corso stud dog in Kansas City', it will come up as a result. I know I have a lot of learning to do, thanks again for helping me out.
