The site looks great, Amanda. Only problem was no images in the sample segment - just a lovely gold background and the "click on any image..." message.

I agree, ND. The site works great on the other - same software-computers here. I did get the images to come up on the home page by getting rid of all the security, but not on the samples page.

At least it's raining here so tracking it down won't be as bothersome.

Thanks Dave, sorry you're having problems viewing the images. They are only jpgs in a gallery - nothing fancy. Curiouser and curioser... Lol.

Good Afternoon, Amanda. It is curious as none of your other sites ever caused this type of confusion here. No place holders, no indication that an image should exist - zilch. The "backgold" shows as a simple jpeg.

You did a great job and should be an active site. Works with your other sites for people who cannot be around to keep important dates in good order.

Amanda: I really like your new site. I just thought as I was viewing it, in that I really like the idea of the nav bar on the right side. Since most people put it over on the left side (including me), it is much more convienent on the right (at least for those who are right handed). I think I will experiment with my two business sites on this, as I really liked that! Thanks again for sharing so much of yourself with others!

Well spotted! It's a trick I picked up from one of Naval's and Racefan's threads ages ago. I've tried looking and can't find it but basically they were discussing how research had shown that the majority of people favour the RH side and RH side adverts always work better than LH ones. I think Race suggested an experiement of having one on each side with slight differences so the theory could be tested.

I skipped the experiment and went for it. It feels really comfortable for me too. My first sites were all LH but only because that style was the 'norm' and what most people did. I changed the rules, Lol.

Amanda: I just got on your new site and submitted a card request. It let me submit, but when I went to pay now, I received an error:

Amanda, this is absolutely wonderful. I love the color you've chosen. The gold is rich and gives just the right feel.

My only suggestion would be that your first paragraph on the home page will mean nothing to your visitors and customers and you might want to consider moving the 2nd paragraph to the first position, as it tells people what you do. Then you could talk about how this evolved from your other site (and link to them as well - great SEO opportunity - and if you do this is the time to have them open in a new window!).

Just a couple suggestions - I think this site is awesome and can see it doing wonders for you.

Cindy - Thank you so much. Doh! I've got that many cart accounts - I got caught out copying and pasting and forgot to change the server! It should work ok now. Thank you so much for pointing that out to me.

Amanda: Like what you did per Betrisers suggestion. Also on your girlonthehill site home page down at the bottom left where you talk about hand picking your links, jewerly is mis-spelled. For you info.

Hope you don't mind, but one more thing. In using your order form on your sites, when I tab to fill out the form, I would suggest you have it go from field to field in order. When I did my order form on my flooraudit site, I was having a problem with doing this. Under the Blue Voda Webbuilder (Forms) forum you will see a few threads in the last week or so that deal with this and how to take care of it, you'll see how to set it up, so it goes in order from field to field when you tab, instead of your cursor jumping all over the page and having to place your cursor manually in each field. It was a big help to me.

Hi again - the spelling is another Trans-Atlantic spelling difference I'm afraid! Lol. That's how it's spelt in England.

The tabbing I will definitely look into - thank you, and for the directions.

Wow, the stuff you learn on these forums. I guess I always thought everything was spelled the same. Sorry, I didn't know. It would be interesting to see the trans-atlantic spelling variations on words. I wonder if there is a site somewhere that covers this. Awe, something else for me to look in to. Your e-card that you made this morning for my brothers birthday this morning was all of the above and more. You absolutely astonished me! I gave you a few words that described him, emailed you a few pictures and OH MY GOSH! You added your personal touch and research to those items and created a Masterpiece of a birthday card.

For those who have not used Amanda's service, I highly recommend that you do! My brother has not seen his card yet, as he is not home to get his email, but when he does this afternoon, I will come back and post his reactions, which will be glowing!!

I'm glad you liked my suggestion - I think it looks great and the wording is perfect. I've been trying to think of someone I want/need to send a card to. I usually make something myself, but think that it would be awesome to have you do one - and probably better.

Again, I like all your sites - but this one the most - I love the color and richness of it. You've out-done yourself!
