    Hi Jan!
It's got a lovely rich look to it - very nice. I don't know whether it's the size or colour of the text you have used but I find it a little difficult to read. Apart from that I like it and look forward to seeing it develop. Nice work!

    Hi Jan,

Love your design, gorgeous, the print is a bit small tho and the colour is hard to read on the dark backdrop, and thers a big sideways scroll ....cant wait to see the finished site tho ...really nice work!

    Thumbs up Re: Jan's Place!

    Pretty Nifty, Jan!

I like your use of features and available ambience to set the mood and to make visitors feel "at home."

The dark colors makes it more difficult to read easily I thought, but that might be from staring at my screen so much these past few days.

    >> I enjoy your font design and simplicity that is present throughout, but honestly, I think it is in direct incongruence with the complex and dominant background. Maybe just lightening it up (not changing it) would make a big difference and allow the focal sections to "pop" more than they do now????

I think this is great, and like I said, it communicates warmth and you very well.

Ok..i tried a new page with the guide lines in place and it completely cuts the tag board column off, in the preview mode (as in bluevoda) there's a big blank gap all way down the right hand side... hang on!

Would the different screen resolution settings have any baring on this, coz in my browser everything i have published looks fine, there's no sideways scroll at all....it couldn't be more centred if i got the ruler out and measured it all up!...lol
My screen resolution is set on the highest it'll go (1024 by 768 pixels) the lowest it goes is 800 by 600.

Yes your right, depends wether you care or not if people have to scroll sideways on browsers that are 800x600 ...like mine lol ...(my pet hate is sideway scrolling)...set to 800 fixes that for most browsers i beleive ....myself i tend to click off a site i always have to side scroll on ..but its your choice at the end of the day :o)

I love the warm, rich feel of your site. But have to agree with others on the font size or color. I would try increasing the size first and see if that makes it easier to read. Great Job!

I love your site and can't wait to see more. I agree the writing is a little hard for tired eyes. I have to know who sings that song?

The song is 'Two Beds and Coffee Machine' by Savage Garden.

It's one of my all time favorites but i am a Savage Garden and Darren Hayes (was lead singer of Savage Garden, now solo) fan.

    Jan,

I love the colors on the website. I wansn't able to hear the music but I think that's because I do not have quicktime installed. Great work, its very organized and layed out well.

Would ya'll pay my place a visit again please...done quite a lot since i first posted with just the home page only half done...let me know what you think!... Jan's Place!

Like i said before, i've increased the text size a little but some of you will probably still have the sideways scroll (been busy with other stuff) other than that how's it looking so far?

Some of the buttons are yet to have their pages made but some are done and linked up.

Very rich looking. I found that the font at the top of the page (The Logo) was really hard to read but it was a very elegant looking page. The I also think that if you are going to use that font that you may want to make it a bit larger as someone else had said. Other than than I think it is a really spectacular website. Nice Job!
