Thread: Page load time

Just done a test page for pics, sigs etc. There is quite a lot of stuff there.
Is it excessive loading time folks? Thanks

Not excessive for me- but I have broadband. Took a few seconds. Many of the signatures I cannot read as they are very small. Looks good- you do good work.

it takes 1 or 2 minutes to see all of the signatures and banners but i didin t get bored while waiting:)

They loaded quickly for me, I'm DSL. I love them. I'm doing a page for angels what do you charge?

Sharon, you say a page for angels, not sure what you mean. But it is free anyway.

not to bad im braodband i found myself wanting to wait a little longer than norm cos the first few were there to look at i agree with andy they are ( i know thumbnails) a little small cant they be bigger thumbnails just a smidge

I love your work but it did take a very long time to load on my dial up about 7 minutes and still wasnt finished when i clicked off, so i didnt get to see all of them

Great page, nice pieces of work! Took a few seconds on 2MB BB.

Loaded quite slowly for me, but then again I am on dial-up and so just about anything more than text takes ages!

I know it takes longer than usual and it is an experiment or a trial to see if it is worth adding it as a proper page on my site. I will reserve judgement for a while and if the feedback is favourable then I will consider adding it, although I may do seperate pages for each type of graphic which should make it a bit more acceptable.

I clicked off with probably less than 1/2 the page loaded - and wouldn't have waited that long if not for a fellow forum member. But I am on dial-up right now - I will not wait more than a minute for anything - including my own sites LOL - and I don't like when that happens - which is one reason all my stores are being moved to VH.

I am on 2meg broadband connection, it loaded slow, there were lots of bannners on the page when it loaded, it was nicely layed out.

I have broadband and loaded with ease. Pics will always take longer to load with any dial-up connection. Also those that older and slower cpu's will find that the page will load slower.
