    Default Starting A Successful Business

BlueVoda is an amazing piece of software. I have used it more than all of my other software for designing business websites.

my online business is located at: www.onlybrochures.com

I would really, REALLY appreciate comments relating to the design of my site. I have spent 3 weeks with the design, and my clients seem to really love it. I have to tip my hat off to BlueVoda! what a wonderful piece of software.

Please also leave comments if you wish to receive help for your site.

    Hi etower464i,

It looks really good. You can tell that you put a lot of time and thought into it.

Now I personally would change the orange to something else say a combination of blues, although I really like orange. J

    Again, great job.

    Default Updated My Website!

Hello All! - I updated my website and transformed it into a very simple, yet easy to use website. I did a lot of research on basic search engines and how they setup pages, so I decided to go that route. - I really would like comments on the design of the website. If you have any Ideas - Please let me know!

    Default Thanx Maddog & RDarko!

I visited Both of your websites and I loved them both!

Maddog, I love how you have a news section that scrolls! - I was trying to find that for my website that scrolls the latest news, I probably will add one later on. I also like Your New Design! I think I saw it earlier and it was pretty good but now its very colorful! great work!

RDarko! - WOW, You are very good at webdesign as well, I was very impressed with the way you did your pictures! How you can hover over them and then click. I had actually written a few questions on how to do that very same thing with my images! - I really liked the layout of your site, Great work to you as well! I was wondering, where are you guys located?! I wish it was GA then I could add you to my site! for free of course! especially you, RDarko! Georgia would love you!

Thanx again to both of you!

Thanks etower464i for the encouragement! It's really good to read compliments like these...makes you feel like you can conquer the world!

It took me almost forever to get the coding to work! It was Javascript...visit http://www.w3schools.com and also visit http://www.allthescripts.com

I'm actually building one for my husband at MD Software Solutions. It will be a challenge for me as he's an actual developer himself but its because of lack of time that he cant build it...I'm quite priviledged to be doing it without his help!

Unfortunately I'm based in the UK although I will soon be visiting the US for business opportunities. Geography should never hinder opportunities...

    Thanks again

I think you should keep it colourful...at the end of the day it has to be catchy and interestingly busy!
I like the way so many things are popping up and scrolling...it keeps the person browsing interested for longer especially if its a pupil etc.

    Nice site

    Lightbulb RDarko! Your Welcome!

I actually had to laugh at what you wrote! you said your husband is an actual developer! - I was like OH, Now wonder your so good!

But I agree!, it has to be such an honor to actually build his website without his help! Me and probably many others are waiting to see that wonderful development.

My wife loves all my work as always. She wonders why I change designs so much, but I am also in the process of teaching her so we can work together! thats the way it should be.

And thanx for the links! I am glad to see you admit that coding can be hard! because I fooled around with image HTML for a minute and was like forget it, I will be here all day figuring out how to implement it the way I want..haha But I love the HOTSCRIPTS website as well as ALLTHESCRIPTS - they are the best!

Let us know when you release that other website! I am sure we all will want to see it!

    Lightbulb Your Welcome Maddog!

I personally like the colors you have as well! like RDarko said, keeping it colorful catches the eyes, thats why I chose orange for my site. I notice all the new comers of internet design are throwing flashy colors on the screen to get peoples attention.

You also have tons of moving things to catch attention as well, you can't help but look at your site! its quite an accomplishment!

But if you were to change it, don't lose the colors or the scrolling! I think thats what makes your site unique!

Let us know if you change your site! we all will want to see it!

Personally my concept of a layout is opposite. Busy colors means a less professional website. A clean slate image will make your website look more professional. You can add some graphics/themes to catch the eyes, but don't over do it. Having too much stuff on a page can make it hard to focus on a given thing and also make it hard to find what your looking for.

    Default Well Said Seven. But....

What you say is true of certain professionalism but its all in what you like. I have seen plain sites do wonderful for their text content and "color busy" sites do well for their design. I think just because Maddog chose to use a brighter palette of colors doesn't mean his site is not professional. Its all in how you want to present your website to the audience. But to all his/her own. What works for one, may not work for another. I guess maybe you should give Maddog ideas on how to make his site more professional.

    Its all about target audience.

If you want a website solely for business purposes then you simplify it.
My website is for the glam market, thats why I chose the colours I did. I won't make it as colourful as maddogs and neither will I keep it too simple because my target audience is different. I'm a more simple girl myself so I agree with you Steven 99%, but when you're targeting a younger audience, perhaps its better to experiment a little (with colours!!!) not too many pictures and graphics though...true I think it can make your web a little unprofessional and messy!

Red face Very Well Said RDarko

Good Point. I certainly agree, Its all in targeting your audience. If you think lots of colors will do it, hey, go for it...

I like designing, so my sites are a bit of a cross between simplicity and graphic hungry. - But I truly feel simplicity is my preferred choice with webdesign as well. Its definately much more easier for me.

OH, How's the new website coming along Rdarko? any progress?
