Default First site using BlueVoda website builder

I'm in the process of building a club website and would like to know what
you think of it so far. The website builder is great and if I don't understand something there's always somewhere here to find the answer.
    Thanks Lageo04

    Well done !
Your page looks good. Very professional. You spent time on this.

I would suggest you consider eliminating the marquee - unless you plan on using it to provide news or maybe tips on fish. Right now it looks like double-double header-header.

On your NavBar, might want to change the rollover so the icon doesn't show.

    Dear Lageo04,

Your site is really well planned out, I like it, I understand it very well and it's not confusing at all for me. All though I suggest you centre your site in the middle and the aquarium picture aswell and take out the buble that says " Upcoming Members Tank of the month. Click on the imagefor more info and pics " and move it somewhere else.

I have also seen that your button's have a rollover image which shows BlueVoda when you put your mouse over that. I am guessing you havn't changed that aswell.

    Good luck with the site!
    Best regards,
    Jeremy

    Pretty nifty!
Ditto on removing the marquee (if you want some action, it would be cool to see if somehow a 'fish' screensaver/video clip with sound could be applied to a tank or even a background, or simply finding "bubbles" to add to the cursor!) and fixing the buttons.....and, as long as we are talking about your buttons you may wish to consider resizing them a bit smaller and conforming their layout on your Home Page to reflect your interior pages: they look much more *****, unobtrusive, and remain highly accessible when aligned on left edge.

More importantly, you are running your page width at about 988 wide, which is not optimal for viewers/visitors across the board. You really need to reconsider how important it is to keep your pages to 800 pixels wide (max) ....which should not be too much effort at all, inasmuch you have so much room to play with and more if you include in your "resizing efforts" reducing your text font sizes and narrowing your "columns" equally to present 3 columns on your home page at least! Visually, with your links to the left and 3 main columns offest with color (as you now have) it will look much more organized and visually appealing, similar to how a newspaper or magazine is laid out......and home pages are the singlemost splash of info you have!

So, I guess after resizing, fixing and changing position of your links, and "centering" (which will then make it really 'pop'), I think it will end up being a really fine webpage everyone can be proud of!
Nice work! It's going to be really ***** when you're finished!

    Hi Lageo04,

I agree with all of the above comments, you have a bit of a sideways scroll easily fixable if you click on the link below it will show you how :o)

Apart from that and the mouseover on your nav buttons you have a great looking site ...well done ...keep tweaking :o)
Click the link below for page guidelines (no more sideways scroll)

Thanks to all for your feedback and tips.
I created the site with a 1024 screen not even thinking about people using 800 screen.
I didn't like the buttons either but didn't know how to change it. Now I've figured that out also.
I'll post back and get some more input after I tweak the pages.
    Thank You

Great job so far. What an undertaking with all those photos but they are beautiful to look at. The others have already mentioned the tweaks so no need to repeat. Good luck with the project.

I thank you for your tips and comments, so here is what I've come up with after tweaking the pages.
    Changed mouse over on buttons
Changed to fit 800 screen and centered for higher res.
    Got rid of the blob.
    Thanks Lageo04

looking really good. Excellent layout and very *****.
The only thing I would change is that your links are opening up on your page, so if I go into one of your links I have to click back on my browser to get back to your site. Try setting your target to blank in the links properties. that way if I close the page I am back to your site.
    Good Luck!!

Thanks Mark for the tip. I had no idea on how to make links and the such come up in a new window. That really helps with the coppermine photo gallery, short of going into the script file and changing the home tab to point to homepage. This is much easier to just close the window.
I think I'm obsessed with this project, but it's fun.

    Thanks Lageo04
