Thread: How do I know If my hyper links are working? I'm not even close to publishing

When are the hyperlinks supposed to work before or after you publish?
any input is greatly appreciated.

hyper links will not work unless they point to an actual live url.

As David said the url's must be pointing to actual (published) pages, make sure the links are published before publishing the page that links to them

hi there - not long ago i was a newbi too and afraid to publish in case i did something wrong or didnt like it - not to worry - you can make changes and republish - make more changes republish and republish as much as you want - once you publish a page you can see how much easier it makes building the final page - don't stress enjoy it

Hi celina. I'm new too, but the way I tested my links was to use the
'Preview' icon on the tool bar at the top , just under 'tools'. The
preview allows you to see and use the page as if it were published,
without actually publishing it. The icon looks like a magnifying glass
when you mouse over it, it says 'preview'.

It looks like a Magnifying glass and shows 'preview' when you mouse
over it. The preview allows you to get a
view of your page and test it without actually publishing. It's a
great feature. Hope that helps.
