Cool Ready - get set - go!

This is my first site with VB webdesigner, hope you like it..

One issue I know of :
At the screen res 1278x768 and probably higher, the left side border appears on the right side too. How do I fix this??

Is the site loading slow? Do all the links open in a new window, as promised?

Looking forward to hearing from you experts. eek!!

eeeh, forgot to give you the link..

It appears you put that in as a background - not like you set it specifically on the right - and when people are using larger resolutions - the background has to cover the entire screen, so will repeat if necessary.

It appears that all your links go to separate windows as you seem to want. I only tried a couple - I don't like having lots of multiple windows open, so that is an annoyance to me - but I do understand it in your case because they are all different websites.

I think you'd be better off having some different pages for some of these instead of trying to cram it all onto one page - that's my opinion - too much fighting for attention on this one page - so I don't really see any of it.

Yes, it is set as a background. And I realized the background is 1024 px wide, so that's the reason it repeats. Now to find the solution.

I do agree, I have been thinking the same thing myself. I'm not too happy about multiple windows open either, but I hope those who are interested in these site will bookmark them and return to them later. As it is, I think I have to little text around the banners and links for them to stand alone on a page.

Thank you for your time and your opinion. *smile*

Lincslady - that won't fix a background from repeating.

Try setting your width to 800 and center everything...It's what I did and it solved my problem. Hope this is the answer you're looking for.

The page width has been at 800 and I've checked for 'center in browser' from the start of me building the site. But thanks anyway. *smile*

Had to set my own screen to 1280 to check.
In MSN PAint (or similar) import your template and add, do not stretch, a section, can be a rectangle but easier to expand the back and then fill with same color. Use the Pick Color dropper and the Fill tool. Save and then use the new background as your template. Users wont notice and those with 1278 will see a fine site.

Your site looks great! How did you get all of those nice banners? How did you do the diagonal banner in the upper right corner?

Thank you! All the banners are from affiliate sites, I've 'just' copied and pasted HTML and tried to make it all look nice.

The ONE-banner in the upper right corner is a link. Click on it and it will take you to the One Campaign. Click on 'Take action' and get the code from 4. Host a banner.

Eh, here's an easier way : http://www.one.org/ActionHost

Thanks for taking a look at my site!

Thank you! Yes, that is what I was thinking I had to do. I will do it later today - I'm at work now.

I just don't get it!! I've changed my screen-resolution to width 1280, added the color to the background (in Paint as suggested) as far right as possible, but the image is 'just' 1218 px wide. Why not 1280?? Help me, somebody! :- )

A bit later : I have now manipulated the background image in Microsoft Office Picture Manager to a width of 1280 px. I hope this was the solution. LOL
