A new website for your feedback

Hi all...

I have finally finished a website I have been working on for some time.. I even took a break from it for a while and did another site.. But it's finally finished and I would appreciate and value your opinion.

Please note: the 'Directory' Page is not complete yet but will soon be finished and uploaded. Also, some scripts may not work with FireFox but I'm working on that.

The site contains about a dozen forms, feel free to try and see the HTML replies, but please let me know in the message that it is a test only.

The site also includes news, articles and video articles too.. plenty flash banners and so on.

Hi Sharon.. thanks.. Center the pages..?? I thought they are all centered.. unless offcourse BV didn't do what it was told.. all pages on BV have been told the exact width and to center in the browser.. are you seeing anything else..??

Magnificent! Brilliant! Colors are in competitive order. Very meticulous to detail, well planned and designed. Good Job! Very impressive. Shows what one could do with a well layed plan!

I find on FF,IE and AOL that all pages are right on with centering.

I wish you the best of luck. This is a good area of business to be in today. There is a lot of competition but with good marketing you can rise above the masses.

Excuse me while I stand and clap!!! Excellent job with the layout, and I really liked the choice of content displayed on the homepage. Also, I was impressed to see your business partner page. I really dislike it when sites(even the GIANT ones) make you go through so many popups and windows to get all their terms, notices, agreements, etc.. before actually starting the process to applying.(but they see it AS PART OF the process) sheesh.

Anyway, I will be definitely looking more into your site. The concept of your site and the direction you appear to be taking, from my perspective, are almost identical....almost, hehehe.

Very cognizant and promising, and demonstrates a lot of biting of the tongue, as I know it was difficult to insist on the required brevity....LOL
(It is rather difficult when you are passionate about something, isn't it?)

You've given your VodaPeers a peek at what G4 sites will look like, and have given a sorely missing hint at how service-oriented/B2BC Business Plans should look like when implemented online.

Try to achieve a minimum word count of 300 and a maximum of 750 words on each page. New search engine looks just 500 words per page in near future.

Thank you Zlatko.. good SEO tips and I'll sure kepp that in mind.. I honestly just did basic SEO, but I have someone who is supposed to take care of that .. (I've aged doing this site and don't feel I have much more energy..lol)
Melbourne cup sounds like a great day for a Tiramisu.. Should I come in a suit..?? lol.. I heard one of my friend say that we will go there on the day, so I don't know what's happenig.. but I'll keep you informed. (Please don't ask me fo horse tips unless they start paying money for horses that run last..lol).

G'day GhostHunter.. thanks for the compliments mate.. well.. I know how hard it can be.. we all sail that boat through our lives.. But there are ways to make money.. the important things to remember is that nothing comes easy.. but it can come easier than what we currently do.. Some of my contacts currently make between $1,400 and $2,000 a day.. But there is work to be done.. always.. so my site is not a 'Get rich quick website'.

And yes, you are right, you are lucky to make $5.15 per hour.. there are many who can't even do that.. at the same time, I agree with you my friend.. that can, and probably needs to, get a little better.. Your site is totally professional in looks and content.

The exercises worked well for me and the videos loaded instantly, they too look great ..... no problem there. A few extra windows on each but I think they are needed.

Thank you kindly LadyEye.. I know the excersices will trigger 2 extra windows, but the videos should all stay in the same square.. I'll see if I can reduce the number of windows.. I'll work on it.. Thank heaps.

Thanks GhostHunter.. yes, the buttons will trigger a new browser, the first button will take you to example color designs begining with the RedCross example page.. at the bottom, there are arrows that will trigger a popup with more page examples, but it will be only the one popup and all subsequent pages will be displayed in that popup.. is that what happened..?

ok i seen what you mean, click on first opens new browser, click on arrow on red cross opens new browser , click on next arrow stays within that new browser . makes sense? i was looking for a small popup box not a new browser that was when i scratched my head. but not all pcs are alike or servers, or browsers.

Yes.. correct.. the reason it is that way because the popup script may conflict with a menu script that I have there.. so I had to sperate the popups from pages with other scripts so that they don't talk, if they do, they start swearing at each other my pages would look messy..lol

I wanted to make sure they at least show.. the problem is the site has 160 pages and some are hidden here and there so I expected that people wouldn't be able to see them all just for a review.

Impressive! And here I thought you were just another pretty face! <joking>

I do have a couple of pet peeves tho. I didnt get the pop up when i clicked your excercises, so I dont know which one it was. However, when I clicked the first exercise, it opened in a new window, which, that one was ok... but each click thereafter did as well, and I thought that was a little bit too much and it kind of made me lose interest and miss the point! But thats just me!

I did think all of it was professionally done, and well done and a good example of how an affiliate site should be run and optimized. Im surprised we don't see more of you spouting off on seo optimization.. or maybe you do but I just missed it!

Thanks Karen.. about that pretty face thing.. you're too kind, I am just the below average guy on the block.

About the popups.. your popups could be disabled... the idea is to have 2 extra browsers in total, 1 browser and one popup.. In the first browser that opened, there should be the redcross page, the idea is if you click on the arrow at the bottom, you'll open a popup and from there, all pages will open in that same popup.. I'll have another look and see what I can do to improve this.. I still feel that 2 extra browsers are a little too much.

Honestly, I see SEO as a huge responsibility.. I just don't feel I can handle the responsibility of giving advice on SEO unless I am 110% sure about that advice.. it could make or break an online business and I find it would be draining if I give someone the wrong advice on that.. Ultimately, a website is only as good as the exposure it gets.. so you really need to know that you are an expert before taking on such a burden.. and that is the reason for not being vocal on the issue.

But hey, you really gave me a good morale boost and I'm glad you like my work, because frankly, I am not a big fan of mine.. lol

I try NOT to expound off the deep end in SEO, however, there are basics that almost every site owner should know and learn eventually. And although I dont run informational sites, I do ecommerce, and optimization for that is different than what you are doing, so I wouldnt apply the same tactics to that as I do front and center product selling. I havent made my fortune yet, but I pay the bills with it. But you are right, it is a responsibility, but its also a responsibility sorta, to say something when its way off base! See what I mean? LOL

Hi Jim.. yes.. there are many that will offer free stuff.. But in reality they are getting much more than money.. they are dumping loads of ads and popups on your site.. which they ultimately end up owning because they would have more content and ads than you would own on it... so be careful my friend.. There are some decent Adsense Merchants out there.. I have another website (www.adsensebest.com) that site lists only the most reliable Adsense Tools and non of them is free, but they do work. If you are still having trouble with the 10 Free Adsense Tempates people, just let me know and I'll sort them out for you.

Karen, I agree with you entirely.. the basic SEO principles are a must for every online operator.. I have done some reading, researching, learning and even attended seminars and lectures on SEO. I am also uptodate on SEO issues.. I have some contacts in popular websites who also help allot.. The difference is, people like Bethers and yourself are 'experts' in this because that's what you do.. while in my case, I had to be familiar with SEO only because it forms a part of my project.. so therefore, it is not a core activity for me.. For example, I have a Free Website Assessment Section where we assess other websites for their suitability for our Business Module, we do in fact pay a consultant to do the assessment for us and we give it to the client for free.. we had to outsource that task because it is a specialized thing.. after all.. an expert, in my view, must be not only knowledgable, but also dedicated.. in comparison to you, I am no expert on this.. so if I get stuck on SEO, guess what... I'll be asking you.. lol.

lol nope i was just curious about the templates you know the old saying "if it sounds too good to be true,then it is actually false" in that case, i have 2 stores 1 is done at cashierman.com the other nagh.info i am still adding stuff in it neither is paying off yet and i was going to get the dedicated server for nagh.info but since it is close to winter i been laid off and in West Virginia they lay a lot of people off until spring no one is hiring so now i can't do nothing except try and get these stores out there to the public, and i know sometimes you have to spend money to make money but at this time i am stumped. wife is the only one working now and she make More than i was making before i was laid off but the bills after paid leaves us little to nothing. but i don't know nothing about ad sense didn't know if you knew about the pop ups or nothing though glad you knew. trust me if i had questions on how to do this, that, or the other i will be asking you all. :)

The website is not an affiliate website, as matter of fact, it talks very little about affiliate business in comparison with the other topics it covers. AdsenseProject itself is an affiliate of some product and service providers. That is our core business in terms of revenue. We simply promote a range of products and services in 3 areas, webhosting, web content and SEO.

The main aim of the website is to help Adsense Online Operators build and maintain a good business.. Unfortunately, Adsense has been promoted as 'Get Rich Quick Scheme' when, in reality, nothing could be further from the truth. Adsense is just another online business that demands attention, commitment and devotion. After falling into the trap, my business partners and I, and after learning one or two things about this business, we decided to do something to deliver that message to people interested in Adsense. We truly believe that the concept is viable and very workable... but the the fact is when you start dumping Adsense Ad codes allover your pages and are not making money, you are only being a free ride for Google, not a good business practise. Many thought that we even worked for Google, when in reality, we are showing people how not fall into the category of Google carriers from whom only Google benefits without any regard for those people themselves. Ultimately, we had to simplify everything because, in theory, it is really simple.. In order to have an Online business you need to build a site, host it some where and get it out there with good SEO.. and that is why we promote only a few products which we found suitable. We decided if we are going to show people how to build an Adsense Website, why can't we show them how to build a website regardless whether it is an Adsense Business or not.. The principles are almost identical and they can be applied to any web page.. so we weren't going to brand this to Adsense when in all honesty, these ideas are applicable to any web page.. so we limited the use of the words Adsense in Step 4 in the manual which talks about web design.. and I found that people do in fact visit and read those pages even if they are not Adsense Operators.. and that is a great thing. You will notice that there are certain terminilogy and ideas that were not used any where else before.. for example, we decided to take the 'Fiction Page' Theme and categorise it and promote it as such.. and believe it or not, I received an email from a lecturer who asked if they could use the relevant page on their projectors during their lectures. (University of New South Wales, Facualty of Science, Web Design Diploma Course).

The information on that website is the result of many sleepless nights and hard work.. I had to learn allot.. everytime I read an article, a web page or a paper, I entered it into a special log I have, today's count stands at 2017 pages.. I visited close to 9000 websites.

The site provides B2B service.. sure, why not..!! After all, Adsense in itself is a business concept.. so even if you are starting from scratch, you are already a small business looking for information, products and services to see your business through.. But we don't stop there, I had received emails from people who applied the information to personal pages, private websites and blogs.. and I am happy to hear that everyone is finding it helpful.. That is exactly why we made the implementation manual simple and easy to understand and use by even the most novice in web design.. So, we attempted at being broad and have something for everyone, business and private.

As for the Term G4, well, I believe my friend Vasili used that term and it a most appreciated compliment. In the early days, computer and communication technologies, especially Mobile and Wireless technology giants, decided to launch their revelutionary products and services in portions they refer to as 'Generations'.. so we had the first Generation, which was G2, then G3 and ofcourse G4 is fast approaching. The leaders in the wireless technology who lead the G3 range were ***** in hardware, and VodaFone in Software, featuer and client management systems.. Interestingly enough, there is a debate out there as to whether G4 has in fact eventuated.. many claim that it has.. go no further than HP, G4 TV and other web based media who all say that G4 is now as good as it will ever get.. The thing about G4 is that it seems to be media focused.. Video and Audio enhanced generation whether it is in computers, mobile phones and even TV's that can now link to web broadcast and podcast.. Ok.. so we do have a website about web design and online business.. it recognizes Google's Adsense as a golden opportunity.. so why the news about China, web allienaces and all the yabble about SEO and the Google Corporation as a busines..?? We are keen on promoting adsense as a business.. and I mean serious business.. so we presume that our visitors and clients will eventually turn into serious dedicated business people, no different to those who operate e-commerce websites and so on.. We know that a business person has a bigger apetite to business information than the average person.. people who run carpet cleaning companies are always on the look out for a good stock investment, people who own a publishing company are always keen to know about the most popular exports to Asia for example... so, in effect, people have that sense of eagerness to know more all the time.. and we decided to give our (very few visitors) another portion where they can read about something that might give them a break from the core content yabble and educate them a little more about topics they would have, otherwise, known very little about... Essentially, what it comes down to is if you want to promote a business, you have to show the recipient that you know what a business mentality thinks like.

So as you can see, we are trying to belong not to ourselves, but to everyone else.. and I firmly believe that this is the philosphy we had to adopt so that we can have 2 or 3 loyal regular visitors to our website in the coming 12 months or so which would make me extremly happy.

All of this had to be reverted back to the basics.. and the basics will only get you through.. as I always say, I wish I knew anything about the www but I have a feeling that it all starts from a simple idea, a website, good service and some marketing.

I hope this is not too much yabble for you.. but if it is, you can always read it in portions whenever you're bored.

(The website is written in simple terminilogy and is Margarita drinker friendly..lol.. so grab an icy one and read on.. enjoy).

Partly my fault with the affiliate thing. Most people put up a site as you said and paste google ads and affiliate banners everywhere, and then wonder why your affiliations and banners dont profit or make any conversions. Most dont realize that its a business that requires focus and attention. There are differences in what you do and what I do to an extent, and I apologize someone may have gotten the wrong idea.

You can make money as an affiliate. The key is to treat it as a product tangible like a regular storefront. Mostly the two dont mix because each needs their own focus. I know several people highly successful in REFERRING product. And they all have sites that are similar to yours Carlos, not a site full of ads and banners. I am always amazed at the successful ones.. as I dont have the patience required for the content needed and the balance of information. You did indeed do a well balanced presentation of both. It will do well, I think you will be amazed at the results.

I agree with you entirely on the affiliate business Karen.. after all it's another distribution channel and those always make good commercial sense.

Great looking site

I'm pretty new to this game and think my site looks ok. However it still looks like a 'Drag and Drop' site compared to yours, which looks very professional.

How much of that can be done by 'drag and drop' in bluevoda and how much code had to be written by you?

Did you design the pages in bluevoda and simply add code where appropriate or is it a dreamweaver thing or something like that?

I have tons more ques, but would just be really interested to hear a few tips on how to get towards that kind of look.

Sorry I can't give you any constructive feedback, i'm too in awe!
