Hi I have be optimising my site for a while now and still have can't find it in google. I know it is there but when I put my keywords in nothing shows. I am fairly new to webdesign but I have done alot of reading and hoped that I was getting somewhere. Please take a look and any advice will be welcomed.

I tried google your web and I was able to get number of results. Concerning your keywords, you may wanna take a look on your meta tags and also try to register you site into google analytical database.

if your site is a new one,
it wil take a while for google and the other search engines to have you in there listings,
you are there somewhere with the keywords its just you may be in the 8/9/10etc. page.
you just have to wait until your site gets out there, then it will start movin up the ranks and eventually you will start coming up,
ive had my site up for a year nearly now and its still struggling to come up against its competion

keywords you are using are too long, use one word and put ,

Actually - you are hoping they'll use the list of keywords you entered in the meta - and it doesn't work that way. In fact, NO word should be in the keyword meta that isn't on the page.

The se's will use the words on your page and in the anchor text linking TO your page - to bring you up in their results. If they don't find them - you won't make it into those listings, even on the 500th listing page.

Natalie - looking good - just a suggestion - you might want to put your URL as your signature - it makes it easier to view your site. on your About Us page under looking for a salon the click here takes you to a page that has a map and nothing else you probably should make a few changes there - are you going to add address and phone #s for the salons listed?

this message is forasirimarco did you mean my domain name needs to be the name of the website??? what did you mean by url as signature? sorry still learning all the terminology.

you can go to UserCP on top of this page - and edit your signature (add your web address) then when you post a thread it will be there automatically notice the web addresses on the bottom of everyones posts both of my sites are there - that way i dont have to remember to add the URL (address) everytime I ask a question for help

another question, I have .com but I also have .co.nz (for geotargeting new zealand market) how do I overcome that bluevoda don't support .co.nz domains. I have a redirect with the domain but google doesn't recognise the redirect with the .co.nz domain and won't index.

Google will recognize all redirects - not sure why you are saying they don't? And if I put in your site with .co.nz - it's redirected to:
http://08004nails.com/nailartsupplies.html and I get a 404 error page. So it looks like you did the redirect to a page that doesn't exist? That makes it hard for ANY search engine to index.

Also, I may be wrong - but what do you mean VH doesn't support .co.nz domains? You might have to purchase it there - but you could have built it here, I'm pretty sure - it would have just been a matter of pointing the nameservers here.

Hi I will have a look I thought it was redirected to my index page. As for buying the domain name, I seem to have to buy it here in NZ as VH don't have that domain .co.nz.

Yes, only NZ can probably sell them - but you don't have to buy it at VH to use it here - I already owned my domain names - that's a service VH has - but you can use a domain name from anywhere.

Hi, thank yes that sounds right. I surpose if I new that 2 years ago then I would have had this website .co.nz. I have already got it as .com. I also have .co.nz as a redirect. Would I be able to transfer the domain name to VH onto my website and use the other .com as the redirect???
