Didn't work when I tried earlier either - but knew you had the info here. I just used the form and sent you a message. The form doesn't tab correctly - other than that - the page looked easy to follow for me. I'm not sure if you're giving this away or selling it though - you might want to be clearer about the service.

Hi Beth, thanks for taking the time to test the form....
Both forms have the tabs fixed now.

You make a good point with the give or sell service info , and I will make that clearer in the finished website.

As most of my programs are created using PHP, with the accent on security, I have concentrated on making things easy for the user, so the sales blurb has been left till last.

Thanks again Beth

Hi, David.

Neat idea! I hope you don't mind but I have a couple of aesthetic issues. I find the black on dark grey a little difficult to read, the red on dark grey plays havoc with my eyes and the dark purple with black text and against the dark background makes viewing difficult too. The entire page is rather dark and, for me, doesn't make an easy to view site. Great idea though and I tested the form which worked like a dream!

Okay, registering was a doddle, got the email and clicked the link - that all worked perfectly from my end. I tried to log in and got this:
Quote:

Not Found

The requested URL /ademo/members/inlinecontact.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
As for the colours, there are so many to work with but I would bear in mind that many, if not the majority of, users prefer to read dark text on a lighter coloured background. You could try using paler shades of the colours you have used already. I have encountered similar problems myself and have found a good way around it is to keep the dark colours, that I like using, but to use white or very pale grey panels to carry the text. (Borrowed the idea from a friend, lol) This helps break up the darkness whilst maintaining the original idea of your design and makes reading text much easier for viewers.

(Sorry about the bold text here, it wouldn't switch off (??))

Wink Re: Complete New revamp - feedback please

I get "debug" requests when using IE.....

I understand your site, but still find it a wee bit difficult to mentally organize it to navigate confidently. Maybe too many "worded" examples? Or, less than prominent labelling of demos? I don't quite know how to describe it....

Similar to the comments about colors and how they affect "readability" I would think that a clearer design of your Menu/Navigation Tree/Indexing system would help, providing they were all the same size font to make it easier to see the relationship each has to the whole (easier to follow the logic, I guess is what I'm saying). Categorizing, and then having sub's on a tree is far simpler in my perspective.

Did any of that make sense?

A lot of fine work, Dave! Really wonderful contribution.

Hi Vasili, Thanks for taking a peek and for your feedback.

This page is not the finished site.
Its only the demo page and as such does not contain the navigation
structure that you would normally see.
Each link on the left is simply a method of viewing an individual component
of the demo in question.
Some of these pages would not normally show up if you were using the complete system.
Also the individual pages that are accessed from the left, have their own navigation links.

Try the "register Now" button and then follow through the live demo
and you will see the effect.

Incidently, I have tested every single page in IE7 and it was working ok, so I
dont know why you were getting debug requests.........

Thanks also for your last comment..............

That is 100% better, my friend. It's much easier to view and read and the colours are far better.
