Hi, first time posting here and I would be very grateful if feedback could be provided on my website. Not had any experience before and found it quite tough to put the site together. It reflects my company brochure in colours etc and is designed to be a live extension of that plus an opportunity for potential clients to contact me. I do realise that the remortgage page is missing the links but am still trying to work out why!!

All your links are working fine INCLUDING your re-mortgage link.
Your site is plain and simple and will get your message across,
although you must realize that you are in a really competetive market.

Your contact form will not work the way you intend without a PHP script
to activate the form details into an email direct to you.

Also, should you not be displaying your Data Protection Declaration page with your authorised number ?

Apart from those small items, just keep tweeking with all the comments and advice which I am sure will be forthcoming.............

Hi Mikey!

I, too, am a fan of clean, crisp lines - especially for a site such as yours. So you have done a very good job there.

Okay, before I go further - you asked for gentle - and I'm not known for that - so realize, if I'm not entirely gentle - it's cuz I want you to have the best you can!

I suggest you get rid of the headline "Welcome" - since your first word in the sentence just repeats it. If you want a headline there - you want it to be words that describe what the people want to see - which is what you are and why they want to be here to begin with. Maybe "Solving Your Mortgate Needs".

I suggest you do some tweaking of your text to try to make it a little more interesting. (Yes, I know we're talking mortgages, lol).

How about:
Barton Mortgage Services, dedicated to solving all your mortgage and protection needs, will take the necessary steps to give you the most suitable advice. Our experienced staff talk to you in plain English and will give you the time you need to understand and be happy.

Then, make a headline to replace the next paragraph:

Why chose Barton Mortgage Services?

Now, make a short list of reasons - not just saying to tour the site - and make each of those reasons clicable to the page that talks about them. (A bulleted list here would be good).

I'll leave the rest for now - you've got good bones - a great start - you need to tweak to make it even better.

Then we need to work on your search engine optimization!

Thanks for the feedback - I've looked at many financial services sites and there is a mix of whther or not they include their regulatory status. Better safe than sorry so I've now included it.

Regarding the php side of things, I couldn't work out how to do it so resorted to mailto: for the time being. It does work but not as I would like so will revisit shortly.
