Hey, Artfuldodger.

Congrats on getting your site up and running. It all seems pretty good. The links work properly. I would suggest that you consider centering your index page as it looks a little lopsided at the moment. I struggled reading the blue text on a black background (at the bottom of the index page), you may want to pick a different colour, but apart from that, a good job!

Artfuldodger,

Site looks cool. Like the background as it goes well with your theme in my opinion. One of your country flags at the top is overlayed on top your your site URL. May want to pull that to the right a bit.

Amanda is correct, centering might be an issue. I dealt with this my first time out until Chris handed me a template and from that I learned centering. You find in BlueVoda by right clicking on the background, select "page properties" and look to see that "Center in Browser" is checked. Also, set your page width to the absolute width of your objcets. Looks like you might need to be at around 775 on page width. This will take care of your centering problem (I think).

I agree with the above on centering your site and one of your flages is covering your URL on my pc too. Good job, your getting there.

The centering is so much better. You have a pretty graphic heavy site so if you want to put more up I would suggest adding a page or two. It will be hard on the eyes if much more is added. Great job

thankyou all for your comments i took awhile but i got there in the end i changed the lettering in the headbanner to blue,as it's a modified car club there is heavy competition so having a very bright webpage is a must a will not be adding other pages yet but will do in the near future.my url is www.northlondonriderz.co.uk

i've been really slated because of the home page i've been told it's tacky the design is **** and the image resizer is rubbish, i don't know how some people can be so nasty.can anyone see a problem with it www.northlondonriderz.co.uk because i can't or have i missed something,i'm no computer whizz

What was the need for the pix resizer? It didn't work? Why not?

With your horizontal lines and elements added, I think you have "conquered" any of the mentions of the effects your background was making, and the subtle changes in your colors have added a quiter tone that makes your pictures really stand out.

Brilliant start so far.

I have one moan and that is for the background image. Now don't get me wrong, the one you have suits the theme of the site but i myself just don't like them and find the text on top of them a little hard to read.

Have you thought about maybe putting the text in black then adding a white rectangle behind so that the text is easier read.

This is only my opinion and it could be i'm the only one who doesn't like it but if i don't like it just think of the people you could be turning away because of this.

Apart from that, as i said earlier, brilliant site. good use of colors and well layed out so keep up the good work.

Hi, you got the right elements, but could do with a little rearranging. I was having a play with what you had & my machine locked up & I lost the BV page. But got a snap shot before it totally disappeared. Could do with a check on the image side of things. If pos! don’t use the tabs on the sides of the images to change the size (these things are useless) Pop them into MS picture manager or similar to change them, will do a far better job.
It maybe nice to have a link to your forum main page as it feels like visitors are being forced to join & personally, I would like to look around 1st.
The forum colours look great, & it may be nice to follow that theme through the site.
The image below was just an idea to keep the theme through out.
