Default New site 1st time user - please review

Hi everyone,

New to using Vodahost and Bluevoda - was asked by a client to build a website and after completion would be able to hand over so the client can maintain/update themselves.
Site address;

www.premier-properties.ie

Would be interested in your comments

Many thanks.
Lee

Looking good. links seem to work, at least the ones i tried and the colours work well. The site is a little wide and could do with slimming a bit to stop the dreaded sideways scroll. try setting to 800 other than that it's a good start

Nice site, clean, easy to navigate, straightforward. Good Job!
Dunno if you've done the optimising thing with page naming, keywords and such, but if you haven't, do a forum search on it and look for Beth's postings on the subject. She is aces at knowing how to get your sites noticed by the SEO's..
Good Job, and Good Luck.

Thanks for your comments and i will look at Beth's postings -
Mook25 - Regarding the sideways scroll, is there anyway of altering all pages (53 so far!) at once?

I have sorta jumped into this very quickly as the site was on paper just on 2 weeks ago and i haven't been looking at the tutorials at all (which may have saved me time in the long run i know)

Did it load ok? Very low numbers of broadband users in Ireland so speed is very important.

Thanks for looking and for the comments so far,

Lee

I'm not sure if there is a quick way to chane each page invidualy unless you put it into a template to be honest unless someone else tells me different. Templates come in handy as you would just change the size of that and it would resize all the pages. If you haven't got templates I think it is just something really simple to change and should only take a couple of seconds each page in bluevoda.

Can you overlay a template without affecting the rest of the page??? i will try it on a cloned page and let you know how it goes.

I have put a number of site together before, but this is the first one that the client wants to self maintain and after looking all over the web i thought that Vodablue was by far the best option for them in the long term.

Thanks for your input

The site loaded quickly for me but some of the pictures took a while to load. Dowload the pixresizer and use this on your images. Looks good, clean and easy to navigate!

Pixresizer should do the job for you It optimizes the picture and can shrink them without losing any quality of the original picture. good luck

Hi Lee,
loaded fast for me.
Nice simple and easy to follow layout. I think you have met the clients needs very well.
I would look at changing the mouseover text on the buttons just to tidy it up a little, maybe use your page names. When you select menu bar go into properties, highlight the link and select edit, then just fill in alternate text.
well done,
