new website please have a look

hi everyone
please have a look at this new site and give it a bit of criticism. There is loads more to be done, so if you click on something that doesnt work that is why. if you think it could do with something in it to give it a bit of sparkle, please tell me what it needs and also explain how, bearing in mind i am a total novice.

Wow. I enjoyed your site greatly!
The only comment I have is your nav bar at the top
of each page is off centered to the right.

nice adven****us site,

but one thing about images, you have just resized the image (winter church). intead use some image editing tools and save the image in some smaller size.

one question, have you optimized your images

thanks for the comments. I dont understand why this is happening with the navbar. when i view this on my windows xp it looks fine, but a few days ago i checked the site on an ***** computer and was shocked to see the site obscured and yes the navbar was to the right slightly and off the white part of the template and on the blue. is that what you are also viewing.

thanks karel, but on my original post i did mention i had a bit more to do,
do you see a problem with the navbar. as although on my computer it is fine, on some others it has moved to the right as the post above states. i viewed this on an *****mac and it also showed this to be true. is there some utility which may help correct this.

Daisy my fault I did not read your post and went straight to your link for review.

The nav bar is also to the right for me too. The reason? Well I am not sure, never come across it before, maybe one of the more techie people will be along soon to give you some suggestions.

great job, Daisy. About the nav bar, just move it over to the left a and publish and come back when you are done so that we can check again. A couple of trials and it'll be fine. And while you're at it, go to Edit, Select All, and drag everything to the very left (meaning your while template and everything on it) until it shows 0 on x. Make your page width the size of your white template and go to your page properties and center your page in the browser. I think this would turn it up a notch.

thank you so much for your advice, if i do this then i will loose the blue effect of a border, which looks good for the template. is there another way for keeping the blue background and rectifying this problem ,

Hiya daisy!!

You have an amazing site!

My first site also had a few problems, what worked for me was to download additional browsers (eg., Firefox or Opera).
I think the site gets changed if you view it through different browsers. Mine was fine on Firefox but bad on Internet explorer.

Daisy, the only way this will be the case is if the blue is currently a shape as opposed to being your background color. So, to get the centered page affect where your background is still blue, you can make your page background (done in your Page Properties dialog box) the same blue as your shape. If you're having problems with this, go to www.designsbymapillar.com and use my contact form to send me a line requesting help. Through email, you can send me your bv file and I would format it for you and you can use it as a template of some sort.

Thanks again, i have followed your advice by putting the template to the very left. and have published this as http.bulgariaextreme.com/index2.html
I got my friend to check it on his computer using firefox mozilla, he has sent me a copy of this via e mail. it unfortunately shows the problem with the nav bar stil over and onto the blue, but strangly enough it also changes all the fonts to ariel throughout the whole page? wierd since i publish in verdana! The blue on the site is simply a blue page placed behind the template. oh so many problems but great fun to get the answers, and the odd grey hair lol

I have just checked your page and have also noticed the 'contact us' button on the tool bar is strange. the 'Us' part is directly underneath the Home button. i am using internet explorer system

hi amadee, yes that is more like it. the navbox is still slightlt off left now lol, has a mind of its own, why does life have to be difficult. do you have any answer for the beta komers page. doing odd things with the template

the beta komers page? is that greek you're speaking lol! Anyway, take a look again, I've taken care of the problem with the Short Hand text problem. What you are looking at is a pic. Ask your friend to take a look and he/she shouldn't see that in anything but Short hand.

thanks so much for the help, if you click onto the nav button showing apartments and it is the sofia one, beta Komers lol, this problem shows a problem which was never really rectified after the upgrade with Bv, no one seems to have the answer. i am sending you a copy of what my friend viewed when looking at my site using firefox mozilla,

Hi daisy

Nice site!

Just a little tip for your scrolling text. For the background color, use the eyedrop tool and select the color from your main page (blue) and that way the scrolling text will look seemless over the blue rather than having a big white box for the background. Just a thought!

Thanks for all your help, you have been a great help, when even the support tickets could not come up with the answers, to the extent i felt like pulling my hair out with frustration. you have resolved all the problems that suddenly appeared after the upgrades for some reason. why the template suppenly changed its appearance I still dont know why, but hey, it is fixed!
Thanks again, and no doubt I will be talking to you again shortly or referring you expertise to others in need.

you (guys) have done a terrific job! I have a feeling you enjoyed working on the site, Roz. I say this because all of your pages, at least the ones you are finished with, were redid. That's what happens when you get hooked lol! No really, excellent job.

What are your thoughts for the gallery? I can't wait now as I'm excited to see what other pics you have seeing as how you guys already have some really nice pics all over the site.

Hi, off to a good start, but would really speed your site up if you optimised all your images. Many are about 10 times the KB’s that they should be & are really slowing some of your pages down. IE:
