Default To change or not to change

Current site is here
I'm thinking of changing to one of these below. I'm trying for a clean professional look. whatcha guys think.

Thumbs up Re: To change or not to change

Go with #2 and a nice color of blue or something to make it stand out!

Good luck!

Somebody's been very busy...Hmmmm. Let's see. I will vote for change in favor of the 1st link. It has more of what you are striving for. It's clean, simple, and it works. I wish you the best with it.

This one was one of the easier ones to make.

Thnx Chris

Number 2 is actually a template from BV. You and Danny like this one but both of you guys are not keen on the color. I guess I have to take that into consideration.

Keep your product in line with the presentation: flooring, carpet, woods, tile......as with all interior design, keep it natural if not neutral.

A taupe, or light sand color would allow your own pix and product the contrasting backgrounds and context to pop without being startling to viewers' eyes.....(the same principle is used for other types of sites with predominantly grey tones, but that would be too weak for your purposes, too corporate for your theme).
Blues are used for "outside" themes, and darker blues definitely "skys****er" corporate. Greys, blacks, browns, and darker greens are "professional" colors.

Template 2 (the one with radiused edges, is it?) when re-colored as suggested, would serve your purposes best (with a white or very slightly off-white background).
Again, let the simplicity be nothing more than the abscence of "fluff" and the intelligence of your site be reinforced by the focus on the natural presentation of your very purpose.

* Customers should not have to battle the subliminal "transference" of color from your site to "frame" your product as they envision it in their enviornment.
When in doubt, check out your competition: the only time you will see a departure from the color guidelines is when they are compelled to retain a color scheme chosen long before "branding" on the net was considered!

I like #1. Simple. Clean. Has some pics to grab attention but not too many. I think of all of them- #1 presents as most professional.

Good job.

I like #1. BUt the font seems sorta tiny, at least for my tired eyes.
Otherwise, I like it.

Thnx for your input larazovich. I think I may work on yet another one. The site is effective right now, but like everyone else, I'm always trying to get more effectiveness out of it.

Hey Mike,
I like #1, with a light tan background, and a border around the pictures they would stand out, I am just not a fan of stark white and gray.
You are doing nice work though.

#4 gets my vote. If I'm shopping for flooring, I want to see samples and that's what you've provided. I like that.

As Liz said, enlarge the font. I would also enlarge your logo. Best of luck with it.

I liked #1. It's easy on the eyes, has a clean professional look, and has the added pictures which add to the color scheme and are attention grabbers for your visitors.

I also prefer the layout of #1. I personally think it's great to have the product images on the main page.

Absolutely number 1. I would do few minor changes which I know are never that minor. But still considering where your customers are coming from - they usually want too see - feel. Mainly they are not necessary used to even using computer. (I've got a friend in this area back in Finland so I know a little bit).
If these people find your website, they will appriciate the feeling that they came to the right place. Few minor flaws really dont matter since the site is really looking good, simple and clear with the links with tile samples on the front page and everything else. And by "they" I simply mean engineers, farmers, house wifes, truckers, blummers and some rich guys who never have time.
Absolutely number 1.

Wow Conuto. Awsome feedback. Thank you very much.
Did you catch template number 4 down below? I'm starting to lean to 1 and 4 myself. I havent decided yet. Once I do. I have over 30 pages to change.

I really like four now. The look is easy on the eyes, and works from my perspective. I don't know if it's the font type, or the size, but alot of the text looks jagged, or something, and a liitle hard to read. Just my old eyes maybe. LOL

You're right the font, it's a bit smudgy. If I go with 4, I will be changing it from Arial to Times New Roman and a hint bigger....something easy on the eyes.
I changed it to a hint of brown for now. Have a look

Hi,
The green of no 4 compliments the colours and tones of flooring sample images very well.
