I have my screen set to a high resolution...so made my pages to fit, I thought that probably the larger percentage of people had a high screen resolution. Am I wrong?

While it is true that, percentage wise, more people can view 1024 px without problems, almost as many still use 800px so you might find that a lot of people who do not like the horizontal scroll will move on.

Consider placing the back bottom near the NAvBar, that way users will not use their browser's back button.

Also, if you use a smaller text (NavBar) the titles will not be cut off.

good luck

I have moved the back and forward buttons up on my page, does this make it better to navigate?

As I use my PC laptop both at home, on the ferry, in the office or at any place in HK (wi-fi paradise), I def. would advise to set the format to 800.
I just don't like to scroll left/right.
(As traveling biz people like small and light-weight laptops or notebooks).
But anyway, it's always your choice in the end.
Cheers.

When I was designing my website I wanted it to fill the screen like your page but each time I adjusted it down it looked a little more neat and cutting edge.
My screen is wide and your page makes me have to scroll. Experiment with different sizes since you are in the creation stage and check the differences.

Thank you for the feed back and the advise, I will be working at making my page smaller and more presentable. Muchly appreciated.

I looked at your site and it is very nice, but I have to agree with everyone else in that it is much too wide. If you could shrink it down to 800, it would be more appealing. Also, I received an error message about your security button saying it belonged to another website and didn't want me to go any further into your website. Maybe you could check that out.
