Hi Jim

You've been a "ghost" yourself .. great to see you, you've been missed.

I seem to fly through your site much quicker I notice, great job there and the text is easy to read, are you not wanting to center your pages? And what about some kind of background for your text, you know, giving it a framed or 3 D kind of look as opposed to everything just on the background itself .Even if you just added a black shape with white borders, it would frame the area somewhat, know what I mean?.. And I think you can shorten up some of the pages, by spreading your text out as opposed to just mid center and might be able to reduce the font size a tad ... I'll keep looking, I think this is going to be better for you ... much smoother ...

yup i wished i can place some borders around but unable to find some borders was thinking about shortening the length of text on main page to average about 3 scrolls instead of 1000 to get to bottom lol as always if ya can help an old dear friend it would greatly be appreciated. as for centering i had everything centered at one time but didn't look good so i tried to center them visually instead of centering page through bv.

OK I'll be back!

Jim:

I think if you take a plain black bv rectangle shape, add a 2 pt white border and insert that behind all of your content, that will be all that is necessary, and it will look good, and pretty easy to do too ... what do you think of that ???

lol Jim, you are so funny ....

Okay, just open up your same page, (no need for a new one) click on insert, insert rectangle shape, colour black, border 2 pt white ... now stretch it the size of your page, (Whatever width you are using,) and then right click on it and move to back, it will go behind your content and stay atop of your background color black, and really what you are doing is just adding a little border to give your page some shape ... as opposed to just hanging out there loose, (now who is funny, lol) and I will bet if you place your content within this frame and then center your pages, you will like the center better too ....

And you know what, you can continue on and add another shape too and get a three D framed look ...

:)

Hey Jim

Good to see you fixed the rectangle as Lady Eye suggested.

Your links on the left (in rectangle) aren't working in my browser. Are they suppost to be links as they are underlined???? Note sure.

But hey I like your site it's coming along great.

Hi Jim:

The new version of BV9 also has a logo maker, which gives you a nice header built right in too, (shown in example) ... I was actually thinking more along the lines of framing your entire page content too, like this.

Jim:

To adjust the page length with the new BV9, you need to right click and choose properties, and adjust the page width and height in there ....

Also to get rid of the underlines, you need to create a style, choose the link and it's properties, then choose style, the choose edit, there are 4 areas to change there, Linked, Visited Link, Active Link & Hover Link, you can choose colors for each, as well as remove the tick for underlining ...

Looking good, you need to center a little better though, build tight to the very left and top of the page and then tick center in browser ....

Hi Jim

Do you have the margin set for width at the '800 point ... (via right clicking on the page properties)? It should center ... hmmmm

Changing the styles is a little tricky, you need to create a style (and for each of those 4 categories, remove the tick in the underline part) and then apply the style too ... there are a couple extra steps, once you edit the style and untick the underline, you need to say okay, but then you also need to apply the style to that link, maybe that is the step you missed??

Jim

I think you have something on your page, beneath all of your content, and on the top left somehow and this is causing the centering issue ...

What I would do, is start with a new page, and copy and paste from the file menu at top, (no right clicking) onto a new page, and then republish and see if that corrects the situation, unless you can find what is underneath throwing things off ....

Another thought - have you applied the initial background by right clicking and choosing properties and background there? or is it another shape?? Do so, using the properties feature for the initial background...

So far everyone in our group and taps and there fans said it all looks centered etc.

all set as you say Jim, but interestingly enough, I checked with a few others this morning, and 1/2 votes, centered and then not centered,

maybe you need a poll - in any case, great job!! Good for you!

Start a new thread ....

Entitle it ... Centered or not?

Ask to tell you if it is centered and what browser they are using ....

And people will respond ...

Start a new thread in Customer Review ....

That is the best place ...

Okay ...
