Default My 1st page ever, links not working

The name of my website is http://ourjourneytolife.com. When you click it, at the bottom is a drop down menu, the ACADEMY comes up with a HTTP 404 error but if you add /html in the url in the end of it in the browser, it'll come up.

Another page I created and saved is http://ourjourneytolife.com/mybio which has a menu on left side listing all the other pages and those links come up fine. I preview in IE7 but it will not play the mp3 in Firefox. What am I doing wrong?

I also want to add a page counter at bottom of each. Where can I find one in BlueVoda?

I'd appreciate your help as I don't know squat about this at all this is a whole new world, a new beginning (forgive the pun) for me, but a lot easier than creating a webpage in CoffeeCup. Thanks in advance

Hi there

If you enter your page and click on "View" at the top of your browser then select "Source"

Scroll down the page and you will see the drop down menu and Academy appears to be linked to your index page. I think (and I am no expert) you have merely placed in the wrong link to the page you want to land on.

With Multi Level Marketing I think you should create more than just an entry page to your sponser. You should create your own pages full of content on the various topics about your product.

That way you can gain some credibility and using keyword rich content people will find your site by using your specific keywords and then link through to your MLM company.

People search the net for information and thats why content rich sites with more than 150 pages do well.

Hey but your in the right place to learn because everyone is willing to help in this forum.

Am I suppose to save new pages (not the index pg) under their name.html? The other page (http://ourjourneytolife.com/mybio.html) and it's links on the left menu all come out beautifully, what's wrong with my domain one with the drop down menu? I just don't understand how to fix it. Thanks for the help in advance.

PS: Where/how do I add a counter at bottom of pages?

When you save your name academy do you save your page as, academy, as if you do this Blue Voda will do the rest.

I typed in www.ourjourneytolife.com/academy.html and I got a heap of hiroglyphics.

Make sure you save your entry page or home page as, index , in lower case.

I looked at your other page mybio and it also came out in hyroglyphics.
The error might be in the html they have provided you.

No matter what the company states you will not be succesful in M.L.M unless you develop an informative site based on keyword rich content.

Search engines will ignore your "index page" and site if you do not have content.

The key to internet marketing is to provide information that your customers are looking for then send them to your MLM landing pages.

Hi Pristine.
For the page counter just go on google or yahoo and search for page counter dowload, there are many you can choose.
For the links, if you have made a small mistake, like inserting a space or some minor issue, then it will not work. When you save the page do not add " html ".
Ask for help if you need, we are all here to help eachother

Alas
I think I understand you about the html part. I went into My Documents/BlueVoda folder and noticed that 2 of the pages I created that are NOT showing up are both html, (mybio and mentors). Do I have to re-create these or can I load them up in browser window with their .html at the end, then view/copy source back into BlueVoda, then save and upload as "mybio" and "mentors" without the html at the end as I was doing before? Would that work? Would it be safe to then delete the html from my documents/bluevoda folder? Thanks

The "content" part will be solved as soon as I get the "mybio" page loaded and saved correctly.

My page should have not came out with hyroglyphics, even though the template is of Egyptian origin, LOL, what browser did you use? It came out just fine in IE7 for me .

I think is more simple.
1) you have made your page with bluevoda
2) save it in bluevoda with only the name " mybio ".
3) publish the page.
Bluevoda will do all the rest, it is like you have done your " index " page.
If the link do not work, just check how did you insert the address.
A small suggestion, instead of using the drop down menu ( is very easy to make mistakes), you can link the pages using the text, just hyperlink them together ( bluevoda browser top right, looks like a chain with a green ball).
I use this way in my web, they say is good way for SEO to look for you.
Ciao
