Question Please comment on my web page.

Hi,

I was doing fine - uploading pages and it was going great! Then, I added a bunch more pages today - they look fine on my screen in BlueVoda, but after I publish, the links are all correct - yet when I click on the links - the page that comes up is a different page - and it is all stretched out and weird looking. I keep refreshing, cleared my cache, all of that. I had friends check it out and it is happening on their puters, too!

My page is: www.lifehealingheart.com - and when you click on Teens or Groups on the side - the page comes up listing a bunch of articles - but when you click on the articles you get the wrong pages (even though the correct HTML name is there (and YES, i checked to make sure the correct name was on the correct page) - and it is all stretched and odd looking).

A few of the pages I posted much earlier today (on the Parents link - the self esteem articles) those come up fine every time!

HELP!! What is going on? How do I fix this?

~Keri

Exclamation Re: Please comment on my web page.

Have you tried the links on the LEFT side of the page - -

when you go to the TEENS page for instance - the main page opens fine- it is a list of articles - but when you go to open the articles - they dont open properly - and the wrong things come up!

Are you seeing it correctly??

I just DELETED all of my internet files (cache, cookies, temp files, history, etc), And the pages are still NOT coming up correctly. The name of the article link should match the text. Not only does it not match - it is showing up all distorted (the text part, not the menu bars or graphix).

Help!

redpenguins. Yes, I see what you mean. When you click into the various articles, the text is either stretched or in some cases squished. Not sure why this is happening, other than, when I looked at your source code, the font type is not a web friendly font and also, you have various odd sizes. Have you tried using a different font, one that is more web friendly such as tahoma, arial, etc.? Just wanted to acknowledge that I do see your problem.

*****: Here, text looks correct

Here, text is stretched

Here, text is squished

Question Re: Please comment on my web page.

Here is a bad link:

http://www.lifehealingheart.com/family_therapy.html

Should i try changing the font? I know it isnt a webfriendly font - so i actually converted my text boxes to images...

You know, it cant be the font - bc i have the same font/graphic box on my main pages (top menu bar) - and they are fine.

This makes no sense.

It is not the font, you are not using fonts, you inserted it as an image, not text. Remove the image and type it out.

This makes no sense.

You simply need to expand your margins via page properties, this will straighten out your text, also after expanding your margins, select the text and rig***lick and restore original size.

The new BV9 has the margins in place, you need to adjust to go outside of this ...

Try doing this ...

I'm not sure, but I think the menu bar actually creates an image file. You image files are fine, I think the problem lies in just the text portion. Why don't you try a different font and see if that works. Where you have used Arial and New Times Roman, you don't have the problem.

Wow, are we having a party now! Hi ***** and Holly!!

I didn't type it out as just text - b/c i wanted that font - and for that font to keep - I needed to have it as a graphic. Isn't that possible to do?
I was about to do it with my "logo"....that is a text-graphic thing.

And I dont see how the graphic is the problem - as the main pages (again,t he top nav bar) - those are all the same - text/graphic image. And they have all been fine.

Ugg. Sigh.

Well, I would try what Ladyeye (Holly) suggests and then just for the heck of it, try a different font and see if you still have the problem. Hope it works out for you and let us know, ok?

Okay - I think I had it figured out - I had been creating pages by just saving over and renaming....

I now made the pages from scratch (well a template I made) - and was having success in my re-publishing.

Now all of a sudden - my site isnt working at all. It is reverting to a VERY old version of it (pre-vodahost!)

Is one of u working on it??

Thanks,

~Keri

Now I really don't know what is happening :( I'm publishing pages, but they are nowhere in sight (site! ha ha - pun intended)...

Any ideas why my new site vanished? LOL

I'm having a great night. Party sounds good.......
