New Website For Review And Comments

I am busy with a new website for a backpackers situated in a forest... www.dijembebackpackers.com and would appreciate your comments.

absolutely love it ... at first glance ... lol ... love the way it 'jumps off' the screen ...the style .... feel and attention to detail ...

Hi, I can only say that I would recommend your designs. Another great look.
Got a slight touch of the Jurassic park feel about it, but still great. On the none artistic side of things. There is a large lump of text that looks odd in fire fox…….

Not sure if it was wanted? But some of the background image’s have a home page link.

Thanks for the firefox heads up, as you noticed on capebackpackers I hadn't loaded firefox onto new pc, well I'm busy with it right now...LOL

I was playing with the logo as a home page link on purpose, did you find it confusing in any way??

I've only just launched my first ever site so am nervy about giving an opinion but here goes:

Your site is absolutely brilliant! I can only get dial-up where I am but it loaded perfectly acceptably - you must have optimised images etc to perfection.

I particularly like the way you have designed the pages in a homogeneous fashion so that they don't have that tabular / columnar look and yet everything for navigation and information is exactly where users expect to find them.

I now know what I must aim for! One thing though I get a blank bar 3in long x 1/2in high just under your logo at top left - maybe dial-up problem?

Hi John,

Thanks for the feedback, I enjoy putting high graphic sites together so i have to optimise them as much as posible without compromising the visual quality.

I'm out of town and on the laptop and cellphone (not much faster than dial-up) and I don't see the blank bar, please let me know what page is on (or push ctrl F5 and let me know if it remains)

I ran it again and it loaded without the bar - so must have been my dial-up.
