Don't give the punter the option of making that decision for himself!

"Here on the pages of jungleconstruction.com you will find the solutions to all of your remodelling needs"

Now that's telling them!

"If your looking for Low Prices, you've come to the Right Place" NO!

"your" should be "you're", and what's with the capitals?

Website visitors always take note - either consciously or subconsciously - of bad grammar and spelling. It screams out at them "We are not professional!" Not to mention the fact that SE's take a dim view of the same.

"If you're looking for low prices and high quality, you've come to the right place!"

Same effect, more professional.

Lee,

Actually YOU have the right idea. Your business isnt a dot com... so no need to use it, or brand it. Use the name of your business just like you have. Do fix the YOU'RE meaning you are. I would make it a little more active for the customer:

"You will find Jungle Construction offers Quality Work at Reasonable Prices. Don't take our word for it, View our Before and After pictures and read our testimonials, then Call Us for all your remodeling and construction projects!"

And link it up to your pages with your text.. Like the words BEFORE AN AFTER to your gallery page, Testimonials to that page.. etc. Id add a bit more text about your qualifications and licensing, and how you take care of the building permits etc etc...bold important words to make them stand out for attention.

Lee you have a another image behind your banner that needs taking out, this is on more than one page, not sure on the monkey noises and pics, also would like the home page smartening up a little, to many pics and not enough text for me. You also need to title your pages.

Question for Karen, how do i do the link the page thing?
Question for Paul, how do i and where do i title my pages?
As for the background, I redid home page and corrected the picture. What comes up is first draft which I would like t remove because it does not work. It won't send mail.
I have two home index pages. one small, "home" and one capped,"HOME". second one works. How do I get rid of first,(home)?

Lee..

Highlight the text you want to make a link, and then click the lil chain link looking icon on your tool bar, another box pops up and then you can type in the link to your page.

To title your pages.. right click somewhere in the page and choose page properties, and then you can do your titles and meta tags

Thanks Karen for your help. Any suggestion on how to remove other index.
When i do yahoo search, i come up with 2 home pages, 2 submit questions and 2 indexes to my site, which are ok.
the small home does not send on the contact us and would like to remove. Looked in ftd and in cpanel, only one home and don't dare remove that one.

You have to go to your cpanel, file manager and navigate to public_html, then find the file you DONT want and click on it, then at the top right theres a list of options.. one of them is delete.

Hi Lee,
Your link goes to the bad home page, but the hamoe button on the pages goes to a clean home page. You will probably have to go to your cp and find that bad page and delete it there. that goes for the other pages that yu want gone. Also on your siding page the text next to the pics is not readable. I don't know what font it is but I couldn't make it out. Good luck!!

Thanks Karen and Mike, I will change the words on siding page. Thanks for checking it out. I went to cpanel, file manager, and only have 1 home.html page so do not want to delete it. It seems like I only find the sites. 2 home pages, 2 submit questions, and about us and services links to my site,(which is good). these are indexes right? I'm lost on how to remove them though. Thanks again for all, Lee

Your index page should be named exactly that "index" lower case, not home or anything else.

I have seen this so many times of late where people link their 'Home Page' link to /index.

Your domain name alone will suffice as a link to your homepage.

At the moment ALL your pages link to www.jungleconstruction.com/home.html under your 'Home Page' button.

2 things here:

your homepage must NOT be called 'home' it should be called 'index' so you have infact got TWO home pages as you have noticed. You must delete 'home' not only from your BV folder but also off the server.

secondly: there is no need to have the name of the page in your link.

On ALL your 'home link' buttons on every page just enter the url:

http://www.jungleconstruction.com

and that's all!!! Don't put anything after it.

Morning Ramsey, do i go through all my pages, remove /home.html from all the home pages from my list ,(home,about us,contact us, etc)? just from the home ones right? And change my home page and save it as index, right? And then republish? I'm a little confused?? thanks lee
