Hello all, I have finished the index page of my site, and I have published it. Many of you won't understand what's written on it, because it's in portuguese, but what I realy would like to know is how does it look. I must say that this is a site for selling leaf tea, and all about tea accessories. The name means Empire of Tea. Please give me a comment. Does it fit to the theme? Are colours ok? Does it have a good look for the pourpose? :) I wouldn't like to proceed for all the other pages without fresh eyes opinion. Please visit: http://www.imperiodocha.com Many thanks to all of you who can help. |

Hi, I am not sure why? But it looks completely different in Fire fox to IE. But both have a lot of side scroll. In FF some of the images seemed to be on top of each other. (But let others confer this) Attached image is what i see.

Hi Collectors info, Thank you for your comment. Strange that none of those pick round rectangles sliding off the main background appear on IE. Should I use any different settings so it can be well seen in firefox also? What might be wrong? Thanks again! Susana |

Hi, Yes It makes a difference. If you build your site with a screen set at a different resolution to most of your visitors, then they will see your site in a different way. The 32bit & 18” makes no difference on what visitors will see, this is just colour & size of screen. But using the 1024x768 resolution is still the most common setting & what most visitors will be able to be able to see the site at. (As per link above) Lcoisas Sorry! We are side tracking here. Out of curiosity? How was the 3 images placed on the page (Top header & 2 side scrolls) As I noticed these have bv names & are a png format & not the normal jpg or gif

Hi Collectors-info, The top image and side scrolls were made using: Phostoshop» transparent backgrownd export, and saved as PNG file. Then »save for web also with png format (to maintain transparency), and imported to BV using image button, like any other. That's how I did it. Susana |

Hi, There seem to be quiet a bit of commotion on saving as ".png" lately? For animation and transparent BG you can also save as ".Gif" |

Hi zuriatman, Thanks for the tip. I'll try to do that. In fact, when the page is loading, some areas that are the transparent part, appear for a moment in blue or white. Ill see if it doenst happen with the giff file. Thank you again. |
