| I would like to get some comments on my new website. This is a new product so I am wondering if my website is self explanatory to someone who has no idea of what to expect when they open my site? Any comments or suggestions regarding how my site looks or functions would be appreciated. Thank You, Jetgirl www.comfyfootrest.com |

| Hi, Not bad. But you need to get a hold of yourself as most beginners I noticed likes to use font size larger than they should. Try not to use fonts larger than 12 points. 10 points is good look at other professionally done websites and compare them to your own as it will give you a comparative picture where changes should be made and styles to emulate. Everybody has their own preferences so sometimes other peoples ideas may not be how you yourself wants your web page to be presented. |

| Hi, site looks great for the product with the style & colours. But ditto with the images on all pages needing to be reduced, the 2 main ones on the front page are at nearly 4000kb & need to get them down to about 100kb max for both. I noticed that most of your text is in an image format? Which looks fine, but the SE’s won’t be able to pick up on the words to help promote the site. You have a good title & keywords, but the SE’s won’t be able to match them to the text in the page because they are images & they can’t read these as text. Good luck.

| The product idea is fun. Some of the fonts are hard to read (too light or too small) and so many different ones make it busy. I like the circular logo better than the banner on the home page, it's more eye catching. This isn't web design related, but maybe a few solid colors too? Good luck, and a great start. |

| sykzpisces, You should open your own thread if you want a review. The index page link would be www.mysite.com The contact page would be www.mysite.com/contact.html (if indeed the page is html and not php)

| Hi, catch 22 on the text & SE side of things. But on the image side of things, use the Free Pixresizer for your images & remember to resize in DPI & the phisical size. There is some info at the bottom of my threads. There are 2 images attached that are under 100kb using this tool. Good luck. PS. Also a good time to rename your images when resizing to things like foot-rest.jpg. It will all help with the SE's.

| Thanks everyone, I have made many changes with everyones help. Chris, I tried to insert the pictures you sized for me, but they can't be enlarged without looking like a pixel maze. I did "Save picture as" and put them in my BV folder. Is their another way I should be saving them? Jetgirl |

| LOL, did you D/click on the attachment in the post. It should download & then open in your default picture program at the sizes you have on the site at the moment. 457x343 & 240x180. The image on the forum is only the thumbnail to the larder one stored. Post back if your not sure.

| Hi, if you D/Click on the Attached Thumbnail images in the post above the image should automatically download onto your machine & open in your picture program. If it hasn't opened? it will have downloaded either to a folder called downloads or your desk top. Have a look for the file & replace the one on your BV page & re-publish.

| Hi Jetgirl, your site looks good. You are saying that after downloading the picture you can not make it larger. You do not need to do this. Follow what Chris is saying first left double click and open the image, then save it. If you right/click you will save only save the thumbnail. I, will also suggest you to consider in creating a contact page using the forms feature, they are not that easy to understand, but if you follow the instruction you will manage. It is a much better way for your customer to contact you, your email address at yahoo does not look professional, you can create one like info@comfyfootrest.com, or sales@comfyfootrest.com, and then redirect it to your yahoo. I think that mail address you have published there will bring you a lot of spam mails. If you need help just post, there is a lot of people in this community ready to help you out, it is a great forum. Ciao Alas |
