Thumbs up Re: First Website Ready almost ready!

Hi vidalcarmen,

I like yr colours combination and theme; it gives me a very refreshing and relax kind of viewing.

Just a comment, maybe you will like to center yr webpage to cater for different viewers' monitor resolution setting? (mine's is 1024 X 768, yr website has veer left alittle.)

Cheers!

Vidalcarmen, nice site. I like the color pallet as well. A few things I found, take a hard look at the menu's at the top of each of your pages, on one I found an extra link for personal care that the others do not have. There is no link associated with the Arbonne link, on the home page at the bottom there is too much blank space and the image under kitchen at the bottom of the home page has extra links that you menu bars do not. Its the little details that can slip by, hope this helps.

Nicely done.

Since the image background does not match the background of your images, I would prefer to frame the images so they will stand out more from the background.

In properties apply a 1 point border with a dark brown color to blend with
your background.

Since there is so much of open space I would make the images slightly larger to fill the empty spaces or fill them with texts or products sales pitch.

ok, great suggestions everyone. I fixed the bottom sitemap links, and I updated the webpage with a vodahost affiliate banner.

Any more suggestions? BTW, to extra copyright something, put a transparent shape over it so that someone trying to save and copy your image will only copy the transparent shape.

Other than the suggestion that Zuriatman gave about putting a border around your product images (witch I think is an excellent idea) I can't think of anything else. Good Job.

More than anything and I am surprised no one has not mentioned it, you really need some content on your home page, for visitors and search engines alike. It is the first port of call and you really need to catch their attention and keep them yheir, I struggled to even know what your site was about.

just a fyi... http://www.pebblecrossing.com is a family health and wellness site. I (13 years old) am designing most of it and my family helps me design it the way they want it. I am also trying to post 1000 times to get a $100 vodahost coupon for a website that I want to make for my wood working creations.

Visit the 'about us' page on my family's website. My parents give me a lot of the info, so the credit goes to them. :)

I agree with the lack of clear text on the home page and too much white space on the right. I had to squint at the picture to figure out what a rebounder is. More text and a slightly larger photo. Make a case for why your products are better than any others (ie you do quaility testing, your price is better, etc) Good job too by the way!

Vidalcarmen, your only 13 years old????? All I can say is WOW, very nice site. I would have never guessed you were that young, your parents should be very proud of you and the work you have done.

Wink Re: First Website Ready almost ready!

Very nice colours! (ok not US spelling).

1. Do a spell check. eg catagory and what is a Vauum bottle??! On "contact us" - we would love to "here" from you??

2. Have you used the tool to check on loading speed? Ok I am in NZ but your site is slow loading compared to most probably because of the size of the man graphic. It is very nice, but also overwhelming and not sure it will contribute anything to sales - which I assume is the object of the exercise. Again the graphic on the Contact Us page and other pages seems to be very slow loading - and yes I am on broadband. I will check it again later.

3. Personally, I don't like the placement of the product items to the rhs of the large graphic. They kind of look odd there. I would be seriously looking at restructuring the items on your page.

3. Major agreement with comment above. You have got to get some content in there at the very start.

4. What is the point of the Paypal banner at the bottom of every page?

Hope this helps.
