My New Website - Please review

Hi all

I have been building my website for the past 10 days, and i've completed about 70% of it. Please bear in mind I am new to web design & this is my first site I have ever built.

I have published what I have done so far & would appreciate it people could have a look and please tell me what they think.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have tried to capture a clean, fresh, & contemporary look, as the site is for a nutrition & weight management consultancy that I am establishing.

The "Services" and "Prices" tabs do not work yet as I am still working on them. I estimate they should be ready in a weeks time.

I have deliberately left the site quite plain and not too cluttered with graphics to give a fresh & healthy look.

Not bad! I would suggest a couple of things, your logo could be larger to draw more attention. The text under it in red is hard to read I would change the font type to a web freindlier font. The scrolling text at the bottom of each page starts in a different place on each page, one of them completely outside of frame. All and all a nice start. Note: I glanced over it quickly as I am short on time. but this will get the ball rolling.

Thanks vm for your input guys. I have amended the scrolling text so it is now in frame, thanks for pointing this out D'son.

The logo is currently with a graphics company, so it is being edited and this won't be the final draft/copy.

Very nice and clean site. You might want to rethink having your info on the contact page, and make it send you an email with any questions or comments. Not always a good idea to put your info on your site directly. Good job though!!

Look nice and clean. I wouldn't have a testimonial page without testimonials so if you have them & just haven't posted, please forgive me. You might want to offer an incentive for people to buy online. I like the site and all links worked, good job.

Hey 007,

I love the look and layout so much that I might redo mine. One concern is the time it took for home page to load. It took nearly 15seconds saying it was downloading 28 images. It could be just my slow computer but I am on broadband.

Victory1 - Thanks for the feedback. I dont have any testimonials at the moment, so you have a point, I might do away with the testimonials page until I have some to put up. Thanks for pointing that out. In terms of incentives, the on-line packages will be cheaper than the packages which include a personal touch. I dont really want to offer too many options/incentives at this time, so i'm just really keeping it simple at the moment. Thanks for your input.

Alex - Glad to hear you like the site, thanks vm for your feedback. I've just got back from a friends house & checked my site from his pc. It took around 5-6 seconds to load, so i'm not sure why its a lot longer on your pc. My friend & I have an 8mb bb connection so maybe thats why its quicker?

Asamboy - Thanks for the feedback. You hit the nail on the head, I wanted a nice clean & simple site which I think I have achieved. Thanks.

Yes, I agree! Nice clean and simple site! Now, the hard part begins......
getting the proper traffic to your site..... i.e. the ones who will "buy"

I will be starting my target market marketing campaign within the next few weeks, so hopefully this will bring in some business locally.
Yes you are correct David, thanks for pointing that out. I will amend that spelling shortly.
Do you know how I can amend my form so that no blank emails can be sent? Also, I have a failure page too but I cannot seem to test this either.
Would appreciate any advice.

Your form

click on the individual field
then validate
then data required

save and republish..............then test it.

For your first effort I think you have done an excellent job!!

I know this has been mentioned but I also felt that the pages loaded a bit on slow side......... didn't put me off though.

Your colours are great, none of your pages jump around.

hmm, yeah someone else above mentined that too.
I'll see if I can reduce the resolution of the girl on the home page a bit more, see if it loads any faster.
