I have just created a site for a client, still not 100% finished so this is not really so much a review of the site yet please. What I need to know is what it looks like in Firefox, as my client has this and has said that some text was overlapping in FF, however, after altering the site he sees no change. I assured him this was probably being cached, but I just need confirmation from another FF user that this has cleared up. I don't need to tell you what to look for as you will see the errors at once if it is still not right. The site is www.cavendishstudios.co.uk and the problems were on the three portrait pages. Please can anyone tell me if they see any issues with overlapping text. Thanks |

Now YOU see a different issue on FF that my client and Doug sees??? How unstable is this Firefox to give so many different and unwanted views?? Think my client's idea of putting a 'site best viewed in IE' message on the site might be better than battling with this minority browser. |

Hi Ramsey, your the second one to say that FF is a minority browser, but not sure where the info come from. Most people i personally know are using FF . Even Vasili said that 90% of users are IE, but didn't answer when i asked where the info came from. This site & a few others, say its a lot higher (45%).???? I know i would always build a site equally in there favor for these percentages. Good luck. But here is what i see. ![]()

Chris, I just called it that in pure frustration that it requires having to make a choice of ruining what it looks like in windows to improve it in FF. It just annoys me that companies can't make these things more universal to that which they are trying to compete with in the first place, but then that could be said about most products all over the world. I have once again made it look rediculous in IE to correct the FF flaws, can you just relook for me please? Thanks |

| Thanks David. The two pointers disappear as soon as you start the shows. I might be changing those anyway soon.

Why not create your own slide shows with radio buttons that change the photo when you HOVER over one..................no more clicking....... You can see that here: http://mvpalma1.com/welcome/testmenow.php |

I noticed that you have a lot of text areas on the main area of the page that wont be helping this problem (9). Have a go at just having one text area per side & 1 at the bottom (3). It will solve a lot of the over lapping. It is a pain & browsers were meant to be compliant with new rules. From what i have read, IE is one of the worst offenders. This is why a lot of sites now put in place css for each browser to solve these problems.

You could put them in html and still use your htags.. that might solve some of it. Karen

Just looked in FF - looks great Ramsey! I like photography sites either in pure white or pure black. I agree that it's the H-tags that throw the titles off in FF. A complete pain to have spacing that looks crazy in IE. Will investigate doing them in HTML in future I think - as Karen mentioned. |

Hey Ramsey, I just looked at the site, it looks great!! I kind of agree with David said, about the arrows, but mostly because as the slides move some of the pics are narrow and yu see the other pics on each side. Nice job though, of course!!
