You're off to a great start, Paul Right off the bat, I would recommend that you remove the links' _blank target. Leave the option blank or use the _self option. As a rule of thumb, only have outside links (links to other websites) open in a new window or tab. Secondly, some of your pages are not centered in the browser. Accomplish this by moving everything on the page to the very top left (0,0), making the page width the same width as your biggest item on the page, and go to View, Page Properties, and check "Center in Browser" Like I said, you're off to a wonderful start. Your colors are working great and I think with a few tweaks here and there, the site could be a great asset in furthering your charitable work. You say you've stalled? What exactly about the site is not working for you right now? Do you have a site in mind that you think looks and functions the way you want your site to? What has weakened your zeal? |

Nice start. I like the coloured background as it works very well with black print. Some tweaks I think you need urgently are: The font is changing size all over the place. Choose the size that suits and keep it consistent over the whole site. Page width should be no greater than 1000 and each page should be centred. Each page should be opening on top of the previous page rather than sometimes opening a new tab (unless you have a very good reason that is). For example on my site, all pages open on top of the previous unless the person is opening a booking or enquiry form (and then a new tab is opened). Also if there is a link to someone else's website then they open in a new tab as I don't want to lose my audience. One thing also think you should try is this: On your Clubs page use it as an introduction to all the clubs in the area and then link to a new page for each club. (i.e a bit of background to the type of clubs or the names, a brief description and a link). Already your current page is getting to big to read, so break it up and give it to your audience in small chunks. With a page per club, you can have full sized photos or a lightbox to house a small number of thumbnails linking to larger photos. This will also allow you to grow later if you want with club events (past and future). You can space the text out to make it easier to read. You can do anything that you desire basically. Try it, I think you'll come out with an improvement to your current website. You just need to be able to grow without having to have a major redesign. |

Hi, ditto with the above comments. You would also be better off designing a page that would be suitable for the whole site so you could have a fixed menu on each page & just clone the pages there after. You also need to go through your images & reduce quite a few of them. IE:…. http://billinghamcharitytrophy.com/C...0Day%20030.jpg is around 3633.01 KB & just to give you an idea, this amount of KB’s would normally be used for a 15 page web site in total. But you would have to go through each image to test them.
