They have these in the malls here for quite some time, and I had chosen a larger one as a Christmas gift for someone already ..... You site is too wide, sorry. You will become an oddity to 99% of any potential visitor being this wide. I suggest keeping things no wider than 920 (despite all the Gurus who swear that the world has gone 1024). Soho allows you to configure sizes, so I would persue this. If you have "auto-fill" selected, simply enter the maximum width of your header then, or use a clear background header with a "floating image" to not appear as if the auto-fill is incongruent .... You will find with a slightly narrower site, you will have a much nicer layout scheme emerge, allowing for your product to appear more highlighted and professional. I would think that you would have used more or larger graphics .... actual pix of products or something, maybe faded or treated ... in a header, or as page backgrounds, or a footer? Good start, anyway. Soho isn't the easiest thing out there, but you did fine. |

Thanks Vasili I was lucky to secure a license to sell them in the UK as the American maker has now started to manufacture them here in the UK. I think they are great. I will work with soholaunch until I can make enough bucks to get a dedicated server to run "Magento" (note the spelling) so I will continue to try and improve the site. thanks for the advice it is much apreciated.

Id rather see a spinning wind spinner than that nauseating WELCOME sign, which is NOT needed. You want a professional site .. take that thing off. Welcome to.. is NOT needed at all really.. but if you must have it.. TYPE it in. Karen

About the Magento thing. You can always just get a separate VH account ($95.40) and add Dedicated IP with SSL ($99/yr.) and install Magento yourself, you know. And if you think it too difficult, pay them to install it for you ($149), or evenVodaHost will do it for you ($30). So ... for the most you'd look at for the first year is $344 total, including having to pay for installation up-front (if you could live without the fancy-schmantzy server deal). Second year would be Account=$95.40 Dedicated IP+SSL=$99 -- Total=$194 or $16.20/mo. You could even upgrade the account you have now (and probably have to simply add another year term and pro-rated DedIP+SSL fraction to make it a 2-year setup). | I found it very hard to read what you have under the spinning welcome sign. I agree with Karen you should have one of the spinners and not that welcome sign. I think they could also work as excelent scarecrows for my plume tree :). |

I think you did a great job! My only suggestion would be to specify how large "large" is ..... "small" etc. As an internet shopper you need to spell this stuff out so that the shopper can better visualize the article. Hope that helps! |
