New / better / improved??

Hey guys please some feedback on my completely redone website. www.manicphotosolutions.com ps. I know this is a duplicate thread so please if someone decides to delete one of them please dont delete this thread. Delete the other one "making waves by . . . ." as the thread is outdated and the information not viable any more. I now have a new site, new ideas, new design but same name. Please i would very much appreciate if you could give me some feedback about my site. Its currently being actively marketed and i would like to present a accurately designed site to my visitors. And thanks so much to the guys who posted in my other thread without them the new version of my site would not have been possible. THANK YOU All

Before you even get te see some pics you have to pass by to many pages, I don't think thats a good Idea. I don't think the colours on your site are friendly, thats my personal opinion. If I have to be honest and I was looking for pics I would have left your site very quickly.

I agree with narobe - it seems to be hard to get to the real stuff. Like the layout of the page though.

Hey there guys, thanks. I was thinking about making the photos easy to view. How about if i create on the landing page with my pic a link to a site map or something similar? Think that might help in that aspect. But how are you finding the download times? Hey if any of the guys that posted in my original thread read this please your feedback would seriously mean a lot to me. And thanks to the new guys, this is the only way to improve - by having others be honest.

Yeah i found more of the same far too many buttons for me to click to get to any photos. but in general i like that layout and buttons themselves,

O i see all my links, spelling, grammar and rollover images are working or its easier to leave a useless comment than to really help!!! It said have your spelling, grammar and hyperlinking checked. I posted that i intend on making a page to simplify the photo viewing process. But regardless you still tell me something i already know, even worse repeating something someone else already said and completely ignoring my request for help. I like the way all my MANY LINKS work, it keeps unwanted's away. Now please send someone this way that can really help! . . . . . Thats it im done talking to ignorinse please send me excellence! Thank you! And a sincere thank you to those who honestly try to help.

If you don't want an honest review on your website then don't ask for one. Obviosuly we all feel the same, so take the advice to hand and make your decision. You either leave it as it is or you take what we say as good advice and act upon it. If our advice is no good to you then don't ask! Simple.

You asked for honest impressions of your site but don't like the answers.....Too bad.

Your navagation is poor (even if you like it), I got to a spot in "to me" that had a completely different menu bar and no way to get back to the home page. I was confused thoughout the site as to where to go and how to get back. Ultamately I too just left. If you intend to market this you have to get rid of your bias and create a user freindly, easy to navagate site. This is not it!

Well there we go some usefull information, im not disregarding your advices im only pointing out that if all of you point out one problem how am i suppose to fix the other. I will fix the navigation as i stated before. What i asked is for help with gram, spel and linking. So thanks to you for pointing out the dead page, thats the type of help id appreciate. My linking is nothing less than navigating through your own pc's file system, (each folder has index that redirects to all folders in that one till you come to the finall folder and thus the photos at the end.) My site will not be marketed on line neither will it be on any search engin. "To: YOU" My intentions for this site is to make photos of people at public events including schools available to the person in the photo as well as family and friends. By direct linking only! AND "From: ME" is just to show my photographic skill and to allow visitors to use my photos in thier projects. So i thank you all even though it got repetitive, now just to make sure everybody understands that i understand my linking sucks, and im correcting it. Please can we get on with it now. The dead page you described, do you possibly know where it is? Please any other help besides my sucky linking appreciated please and thanks.

Apparently not much at all has changed from the previous thread: you seem to disregard the comments of your peers with pronounced disdain, and your understanding of how to build a website is locked within a warped perspective (even your "business model" is completely foreign and definitely not "User-friendly").

You would do much better to analyze the websites posted by your peers and all the comments in their threads to garner some broader understanding to help you make some real progress in designing something that makes sense to at least a dozen or more people.

Well clearly you disregard the creative intentions of others. Easy to point and laugh, now show me what positive you have left. Clearly not much, because wow look all the big words must feel very important now a bob! All i want is help with spelling, grammar, linking and to know if all my pages graphics are showing, but you ppl just cant get enough of yourself's spewing your unwanted selfish comments. Give me the support i was promised when i joined vodahost and vodatalk and when i posted in this section. You should change the name of this section or start honoring its description. To help less knowledgeable designers get their sites published by giving constructive criticism and helping with the checking of links, spelling, grammar etc. . . . Not with insults and repetition and especial completely regardles of whether you think a site will work or not or whether its user friendly or not. Nowhere does it state that if we dont like your site we wont help. So whats it gona be help or no help. Wheres the dead page or what about my spelling so what if i disregard your opinions their not mine are they so stop forcing them down my throught and start helping! :<

I was a member of this forum long before i joined vodahost, thats why i know there's more help than im being offered. Thank you Vasili for the comment but i cant see how reading about other ppls sites can impove spelling mistakes already made or graphics not showing or even mis-named pages. Every thing i do is in a well planned warped respective thats who i am. I have read many of you posts before joining vodahost and expected a bit more. I liked your sometimes rude but straight to the point comments thus you of all ppl should understand me the best. Thanks any way though.

Let me add my two cents:
Everyone on here is a volunteer. And there are a lot of very knowledgeable people on here that really know their stuff! I've had a lot of my questions answered by merely reading the posts each day. I've even picked up answers to problems that I didn't even know I had previously. I've redone my pages numerous times to add/correct things that I read on here needed to be done.
And after a year now, I am very satisfied with my sites - although I knew there is a lot still to be done - and I've learned a lot. I also am very pleased with my page ranks in search engines - all because of what I've learned from others on here.

No one says you have to do anything to your site! And if you have a specific question, you should post it in the appropriate forum and you will probably get an answer to that specific question. However, when you post in the website review forum and us a statement like: " Please i would very much appreciate if you could give me some feedback about my site", people think you want feedback about your site. You don't have to follow through on any of the suggestions offered. And you're not hurting anyone else on here by not doing so. The suggestions are made - do with them as you wish.

If I'm working on my car replacing a headlight and I ask a neighbor to help me replace the headlight and when he gets there he notices and tells me that my tire is flat. I probably wouldn't get upset about him telling me that my tire is flat when all I asked him was to help me replace the headlight. Of course, that's just me and my opinion.

Being a memeber for long time of this forum like you say, when you ask for Feedback you should know what your going to get. I think everyone has tried to give you tips on how to improve your site, (It's up to you to investigate and do the reasearch on the comments) nobody has been rude or disregarded your work. If you only wanted a spell check and link test, you should have been more precise with your words.

Well then i humbly ask apology to everyone i offended and say thank you to all. Can i now very please have my links, grammar, rollover images and graphics checked? As i posted before i have now updated my site. With a link to a site map that eases navigation and the unneeded pages removed. Thanks and sorry again but monotony and ignorance irritates me extremely.

The crazy link isn't working, if you paid attention you would have noticed only clickable links say go. So as you o so clearly proved none of you are really trying to help. I apologised didn't i? Nobody is gonna sit here and correct your grammar, go thru your site and fix all of your problems for free. Youve been given useful advice and direction to go far more important than your typing skills, but you cant see the forest for the trees. Or maybe your nose is too high in the air? Either way... it doesnt make your site marketable.

Rudeness, Demanding Results from your Voda Peers, will get you hung out to dry pretty quickly. Perhaps you treat your family members in this manner and you assumed you had some prestige here by mentioning your longevity, but you just canceled it all out with your posts. I expect a most humble apology typed out to the members you have insulted in pretty short order.
