Default Please flick through this one

Hi Guys

Please can you flick through this one and help me check the basics

1) Are you getting sideways scroll?

2) Are the images are loading quick enough?

3) Does the Home Page give you a clue what the site is about within the first few seconds?

4) Is there anything that don't don't look right?

Here is the link

With 'Naval Designs' help this site will have a script that will allow the visitor to select a bunch of products to get a 'quote' on which should be good...I'll keep you posted.

Thanks as always

Darren

1) Are you getting sideways scroll?

Not at all.

2) Are the images loading quick enough?

Yes, one second or less.

3) Does the Home Page give you a clue what the site is about within the first few seconds?

Absolutely.

4) Is there anything that don't don't look right?

It's a "pragmatic" website, not supposed to be "fancy",
so...I didn't expect to see anything "colourful"...

Good job Darren!!! Looks quite good. One thing, maybe it's just me but if there is only one Maxhunt, on the home page at the bottom the last line, shouldn't it be Maxhunt has........... instead of have? Just checking....
Good Luck!!

Hi,

I do not fancy the word dispatch is the appropriate word to use.

"Ship all over the world" would be much better.

Hi site feels ok, but feels a lot more items could be displayed in the screen space on the product pages. IE around 10 to 12 products without scrolling, & have pop up’s or mouse over to display the larger images. Will also load the page quicker. (But is load ok at the mo).
Could possibly shorten the menu names “Mag contacts (Flush)” “Mag contacts (Surface)” but not sure if this is SE friendly. But anyone in the trade will know what it is.

Wink Re: Please flick through this one

Hi Darren,
As damn near a perfect site as one would expect from yourself!
Just found these 2 Teeny-weeny little things to p*** you off LOL

Method of Production
- The range of products manufactured by Maxhunt are produced on our own in-house injection moulding machines. Following the manufacture of all injection-moulded components, and the acquisition of some components from outside manufacturers, the assembly workers combine all the elements to produce the finished units. A high level of quality control is maintained at all times and all the security products conform to BS EN ISO 9002, fire safety products to BS EN 54 Part 11.

Following Mike's ob. earlier about the "singularity" of Maxhunt....

Our markets
- Maxhunt has many clients in the United Kingdom, and also supply products to many other countries around the world.
Sorry, but you can't have both :)

Thanks David, need to look at that.

Can I ask you, (and anyone else) when you click on the product categories is your browser warning you of any script problems that maybe slowing things down?

I noticed it on my home PC and then my work PC. Spoke to Ramsey (Marincky) who didn't experience any problems. It would be useful to me to do a wider test on this. Link
