I am totally new to this Forum stuff, so please forgive me any fauxpas. I can be a quick learner sometimes. My Website is www.e-tutorials.biz I've had it running for a few weeks now, I got a scathing critique today from a well meaning friend, so I would like to hear comments from the BlueVoda community. Greets, Heinz. |

Nice work--thank you for sharing- Thanks so much for this. I appreciate the effort. It really helps a lot. Glad to hear you're using this: I plan to keep it much more aggressively up-to-date than has been the case in the past, but don't hesitate to let me know if you find errors or need clarifications. |

Well your images are not centered and that green highlight background on the text is not very easy on the eye or professional looking. and your pages are not titled. You need to view all the video tutorials and play around with BV until you are comfortable with it to make a professional legit business looking site.

The images you have used are stock images but it is clear you have not purchased them as the watermark is clearly visable on them . This is unprofessional and also opens you up to legal trouble regarding using images without paying the royalties. There are some great sites out there that allow you to use royalty free images for your site, look for these sites using your search engine - type in "royalty free stock images".

The navigational buttons can be squeezed together so they do not overlap the photo. You can place a rectangle in the center to set your text on. Then justify the text left. We agree with the water marks. There are plenty of unmarked photos out there. Here is a little known trick - scan your own temp files for jpegs. What you discover on your own computer is fair use, especially since it was implanted on your machine without your permission:)

Lugial23803, That's not called for! Positive criticism are welcomed, not negative or offensive. Some people may be first timers and are doing the best they can and the way they can while learning or perhaps it's just the way they would prefer their site to look like. You could give your suggestions but not remarks like that. It's also against forum policy |

Ditto with all comments except Lugial23803 You could reposition the left side images and the menu starting from left going to the right as suggested earlier. That way you would have more space for content which is more important for search engines as well as your visitors. The right side images could be left where they are if you did not want to move them. You can have any color you want but the more neutral color, the better. For example, black text on white background or some other light color. They are soother on the eyes. Your title could be more descriptive reflecting the business on the page. When you exit from the sample page, stay in the same window. |

We're not sure why you have a large bubble is rising up out of your butte? Get rid of the "Introduction" bubble. We noticed your photo of the butte is installed to be a hyperlink; but it doesn't go anywhere. Just let people click on the photo to enter the site. The alternative would be to make the letters of "Introduction" larger to fit the scale of the page. Flatten the top and bottom of the button to make it pill shape. Then move the button to be just below the photo. But, your will still have to afix a hyperlink to the photo so when people do click on it, it takes them somewhere.

Your index page and the image have nothing to do with the business on other pages. The image does not enhance nor help in any way your business. I would get rid of it. The index file should be treated as a gateway to your website with good content and keywords embedded in it. |

Dear forum people, I am very grateful for any input, even if it against the forum rules. I will try to incorporate some of your suggestions. The image on the homepage is locally significant, and I don't try to get an international business going. Give me a few days to work on the site, Heinz. |
