Default First site

I joined Voda this week and have started a site. Its still under construction at the moment, but you can get an idea of how it will look.

Looks promising. The title bar is nice but it is difficult to read the name - dark text against a dark background. But you've made a grand start and I look forward to seeing more. Good luck.

just one thing have you tested the software for the trojan and worms as some can be areal pian they do a free scan tell you've got lots thing but to get rid of them you have to pay £ $, when infact you have nothing there.one called winfixer 95 which promises to clean your computer is a nasty little virus which slowly disroys your computer. please do not go looking for this.

Thanks for the comments. I made the banner a while ago for another project so it was already available, but I know what you mean about the text.
Aliens Anonymous, thanks for the hints about virus, but if you check out the PC Utilities page on my site you will find I have it pretty well covered. I actually use Nod32 antivirus.

I have made a few improvements and updates from the suggestions made and also customised the forum to match the site.
There are still things to add and improve but I think the basics are in place now.

Question Re: First site

Hi Rob,

Are you the one who sent me the animations? If so, thank you. I tried to e-mail back but it wouldn't go.

Following up on Amanda's comment the navigation buttons are illegible on my old cathode tube, 1999 satae of the art screen. Also have some over lapping with the large heading on the home page. The last link to the left led to a critical error message but I'm still here and breathing.

You asked how to make a forum. I am not an expert as This is my first go but its pretty straight forward.

If you go into the control panel and click on Fantastico you will see a list of things to add on the left hand side.
About halfway down the list is "discussion boards". Click on "phpBB2" and it does it all for you. Just go through the prompts and at the end it will ask if you want to mail yourself a link to the new board. When you get the mail just click on the link and you will see your forum. To customise it you go into the "forum admin" and you will again find links in the left side which allow you to add and change things to your liking.

There have been a few comments about the site being a bit dark on some peoples monitors so I have redone it with a lighter theme. I Hope it is a bit better to view now.
I will also change the forum theme to match it when I get the chance.
