My new site with new homepage only

Hi there all...

I've been creating and planning my personal website for the last year and now have the format that I want. I at first wuickly put a whole bunch of information and pictures together to see how it all worked.. and of course being lazy never went to the next step. Well the next step is here. I have totally revamped the home page (of course you can't compare to the old homepage since I never posted it here on the forums) But if you go and navigate thru the other pages you can see that the look and colors were different.
Would love to get opionions on the front page , layout, color scheme and looks.

The page looks well laid out but I didn't see all the photos because they took forever to download on 56k. I gave up waiting after about 2 or 3 minutes.

Hi Moraism,

Your front page is a great improvement on the rest of your pages, tho iI do think it could look even better by fixing a few things ....like Roy said your front page took an age to load especially on my dial up ..the problem is the moving pictures i think ..it took forever and when it was loaded the pics were very blurred, ..my pet hate is sideways scrolling as you can see by my link lol .... most screens are set to 800, but its a personal preference , myself if i have to sideways scroll I tend to click off and move on to the next site.

Also I.m not a great fan of bright yellow font on blue..to me it makes a site look a bit errrrr dare i say ...tacky ...maybe try toning it down
Try this in your custom colours
Hue 40....Red 217
Sat 240...Green 217
Lum 102...blue 0........still yellow but toned downed

One more thing ...I cant read the print on the left side due to the font being black on dark blue.....makes it really hard on these tired old eyes :o)

Its also a good idea to take the theme from your front page and follow it thro to the rest of your pages.

Youve done a really nice job tho ... well done ..hope this helps

Why are YOU still on dial up?? WHo are these people that are using the internet with dial up....

Also,
I will adjust the Yellow color for the font.
and on the left side I will also adjust the balck font on the blue background.

Also,
I don't have the sideways scroll bars on any of the computers I have viewd the page on and all the pcitures come in perfectly clear.. must be your monitor resolution...

On your website you do a scroll with the pictures and a picture gallery..How do you do that?

Are you speaking of the page with music? I did that with Coffee Cup. If you click on slideshow it will do it for you.

I have my reasons for being on dial up along with a whole lot of other people.

Also ..of cors its my monitor resolution ..its set to 800 x600 ..but if you want to just cater for those who have the same as you ..then thats fine
Your choice ....I was only giving my opinion .. ;o)
