I couldn't understand why I was not getting responce on my last posting, asking members to critique my site-dah maybe it's because I left my email instead of my web address. I take back all those wicked thoughts, I seem to be doing that alot -dah http://www.CircusPet.com

well, it's different. I can see you are still working on it as there are some broken links. The cyan you have chosen for a backdrop is a little in your face. information is cool and tells you exactly what to do and expect.

I think personally, centering in the browser will make this site work a lot better..

Hi Circuspet,
Agree with MS, pages should be centered, you can do this from page properties and clicking 'center in browser'

The "tricks" link does not work.

First thing I noticed were obvious mis-spellings. You need to get those corrected ASAP. - FYI - it starts in your header - it should say the Circus is coming - one m.

Thanks all espically Mark for starting the whipping. I think your right about the loud background, Yes, Bethers I do have spell check, Danial webster is the centre of american english. lol And Bill the only thing I hate more than being wrong is for someone else to be right. Thanks for the tip

I think that your website is pretty good. The only thing that i seen wrong was some errors in the spelling. Other than that good website

Oh well! I s****ed the logo and think I will try an animated logo maybe just waving banners. would like to see how that effects the load time.
I made sure to record the custom color specs so I can duplicate the background on the new logo. Here goes check back tomorrow please

Its nice the only thing is:
On my screen I don't see your page centered it's on the left, and the about us page also is a bit to low on my screen I have to scroll to see it, would gain a lot if it was all centered, my sreen is 1024

excellent - colour is much better. now all you need to do is add fun to the homepage...party hats, streamers, maybe a big top...something that makes me want to look around the site....

first impressions count, and will keep interest...

Self evaluation does not work well with med my ego. NAROBE: I thought by putting every thing to the lefi I was eliminating the side scroll, which I hate. It accully views in the center (that's american for centre) of my screen and prints well too. Perhaps I should change my screen settings instead?
Marc: After changing the background color, the logo clashed so I s****ed it. I really like the big top Idea. I think Ill start working on a logo with that theme.

Love it - very good, gives a little sense of interest. Something that de-commercialises your page and makes it stand out from the rest..

I hope everyone will be drawn to the low key, soft sell, non-comercial
aspect. Hoping that difference will be a breath of fresh air. Everyone can't be on meth. lol Your critiques in the past have really helped. Can you tell me please what you don't like.

I like the big top and the cute wee puppy. Spelling needs addressing!!!! I think it gets mentioned a lot around here.... when we use music on our sites, a switch off button is required for viewers. Your style of music striking up will not help when someone is supposed to be completing their urgent spreadsheets in the office! LOL

All in all, bright and cheery. Nice one :)

It really is cute, but I agree the music should have a shut off button somewhere. It should also be centered. On my page I have a shut off button, but I'm trying to remove the whole thing and can't get back to the page.

I personally thought the music was too loud. I tried leaving the player with its controls visable but didn't like the look. I decided to let viewers
set the volume on their own computers. It is just as easy to control things
on thewir own tool bar as it would be on an on site player.

You originally got some really great suggestions on how to improve your site in your first/original thread....now that you have added music (and need to tweak that out additionally), you should go back and list all of them on a piece of paper and tackle them in order!

This will be your best approach to successful website design, and offer you a means to measurable accomplishemnt!

Ok, here goes!

1. Centre in the browser will help visually.

2. Line over bottom icon text.

3. Buttons don't match in very well with the background - suggest revise these.

4. Use Publisher if you have it to mess around with the page title - clean up and replace.

5. Like the clown, consider enlarging (but watch out for distortion)

6. Try a different font set on the front page. Coloured letters can be distracting and turn viewers away..

7. I would suggest that anyone inputting a load of text copies into word and spellchecks before publishing - great way to save embarrassing comments.

8. Try turning the MIA page into a more positive page. Pets reunited or something? where pets have the chance to track down their owners??

9. Cannot see images of pet tricks...?

10. Ignore what everyone says and suggests, we are all individuals and as such keep the world a more interesting place.

I hope some of the idea's are of use to you and indeed you can build on them. The ones that you don't like - feel free to mutter abuse at the PC when you read them...

When I open your site I get a pop-up something to do with a Crescendo Forte License (?) , not sure what this is about. I have to cancel everytime, what is it?

Here's my opinion....

I don't really care how good or bad the site is and the reason for that is simple....

The tunes on every page are so fantastic I enjoyed every single second of my stay on your site!!! I found it very entertaining

I see you have made changes. Nice, it is coming together for you. Your centering is a little off. You have also made changes to the backround color, very good. It will all work out for you in the end. good luck.

Very unique idea. The thing that I noticed most is the form and the spelling oversights. Registration,brief,gallery should have been capitalized too,constitutes and renewal. The music is a bit choppy. Hope that is a word and is spelled right. As others have said, not all links work,probably working on that. After the tweaking I'm interested in the outcome. Like I said, a novel idea.

Love your web page, But when I click on a link It goes nowhere. Your home page is very unique. Don't get discuraged. I re-did mine 4 times and I am still working on it. Make sure your home page lets people know what your selling.

Love your idea! I can't really add anything more than what others have suggested, circuspet . . . You're doing great so far and I think that utilizing the suggestions you are getting in here will make it fabulous!

May I suggest adding some pics? I know lots of people who flip through sites until a picture (s) catch their eye . . . without that, they'd never stop on the sites they do stop on. This is one thing I'm pretty good with . . . if you need suggestions, e-mail me. I sent you an email through your contact link on your site . . . you can just reply to that.

Just a quick thought . . . did you remember to get written copyright consent for you to post those videos? One is marked ebaumsworld and although the other 2 are marked 'breaktaker,' They actually belong to The Discovery Group's Channel, Animal Planet . . . . you are looking at serious problems if they should choose to prosecute under copyright laws, which they can do if you don't have a written agreement saying that they give you permission to use their material.

As a professional writer, I deal with copyright issues a lot and trust me, it stinks to have to fight for something you worked hard on. Just make sure you cover your back when it comes to posting others' material. I have others material on my site right now, but it is through a source which allows for use with certain clauses.

BTW, don't let people get to ya! Keep at it, you're getting it there!

members and visitors where I'm going with the site. I also just reciently discovered photobucket.com which allowes easier texting and a pro version which I think has video editing which will eliminate the need for outsourcing and the cost factor. Hope to make some big changes soon.
Today I had an exclusive interview with handicaped woman and her dog trainer who has traind her dog to serve as her legs by pulling her wheel chair. I hope to have the story on my blog by this weekend.
