Hi,
Is it normal to wait on ICANN for my domain name, or did I sign up at a bad time?
I received an e-mail that a support ticket has been issued to them.
Just curious if this happens from time to time.
Thanks,
Tom

ICANN is the regulatory entity of the internet, not a provider selling domains.....
If you bought a domain that was previously registered to another, or if it was the result of "backorder" it might take up to 72 hours to verify and 'transfer' properly.....you might want to double-check WHOIS to see current registration info in the meantime.
And....be sure to keep all purchase confirmation emails handy without deleting them!

Thanks for the info. My problem is it is going on 6 days.
Regulatory.......figures.
Thanks again,
Tom
So...what did the WHOIS say? Is it yours, or no? And if you COPY & PASTE the info in a post, we can see which "provider" you need to approach for specific resolution....( or just post here the domain name and let me see what I can come up with)

Looks like I'll just have to keep trying.
I'll get back if I find something out.

Update:
I went to Whois.net http://www.whois.net/and found the domain name registered to me which it should be.
What I find interesting is the date it was registered, (several days ago but I still cant access) and the expiration date which should be 2009 as I paid for 3 years.
See below:

Domain Registration Date: Wed Jul 19 12:31:11 GMT 2006
Domain Expiration Date: Wed Jul 18 23:59:59 GMT 2007
Domain Last Updated Date: Wed Jul 19 12:47:00 GMT 2006
Can anyone explain?
Thanks in advance,
Tom
