You have done all that you need to if you have changed the dns to vodahost but please be aware that if your account has email and other services that you will lose all those other services connected with the domain name that you have changed. You have made the right choice because vodahost is far better than yahoo and I speak from experience.............. It will take a few hours for the dns changes to spread throught the internet, but you will soo be up and running again. have fun BTW: for everyone else reading this, I am off to Madrid and then to Italy for a few days so Hasta la vista a todas................... |

actually I have already a domain with vodahost, the additional one with yahoo, I want to use it as add-on domain, so what should I do about the above?

You shoud point your dns from yahoo to the vodahost servers (same as your server numbers with your vodahost account) and after your yahoo domain has propogated with the new dns go into your Cpanel and use the addon domain facility........ You can also transfer your (yahoo) new domain name to vodahost after 60 days have elapsed after purchase. |

So you mean after changing the dns to voda host, I don't have to worry about the other stuff I mentioned above? please I want a straight quick answer, In records, there is yahoo! IP address, shouldn't be changed as well. Please anyone can review what I mentioned in the top of this thread, and give me more details? Thank you.

Quick as I could...........You do not have to change any of the other stuff. Just change the 2 dns boxes to (ie.) ns9.vodahost.com and ns10.vodahost.com You can find your server number in the welcome email that you received from vodahost when you opened your account.........thats as clear as I can be. good luck........ |

ok good, thank you very much, now after that step 1 - how can I know that the domain is activated in my voda host account? becuz we know that would take several times 2 - what about e-mail of that domain? pls note that the new domain will be an add-on domain, so I want to set up its own e-mails as well. Thanks you.

Wait for 24 hours after changing your dns and then try to addon the new domain name in your cpanel. It will either accept it or come back with a cannot blah blah message. You can create a new email account for your new domain when it has been accepted in your addon domain facility in cpanel..................see tutorials on creating email accounts. |
