Default How to publish to my addon domain

I am a voda host user. My main site is: www.modestywebmasters.com. I can access my control panel. I added a add-on domain yesterday morning. I see the add-on in my ftp list, I have already changed the dns servers also. When I try to publish in blue voda, it says I have the wrong password. How do I find out what my password is, I know what I set it at, but that is not working. The add-on is www.sanaslegacy.com.

I have watched the tutorials, I have saved my page correctly as index.

Please help.

Margie

You should use the same IP, username and password to publish to your addon domain, the only thing you should change is the folder field:

folder: public_html/sanaslegacy

I published my sub domains, but when I go to the site, I only get the directory for it. I am typing in: www.calliopeisland.sanaslegacy.com

Thanks again

Hi Sarah,

I have already raised the question elsewhere in the system and it has been answered well by "Navaldesign".

you do however make it sound very simple and before I continue I would like to check if it is fact this easy.

I have built a website using BV and I am a user of VH.

I would like my BV website to be veiwed/uploaded to www.gnjgf.co.za

by creating the addon - will this automatically happen or do I need to upload everything into the newly created folder public_html/gnjgf?

Will this add on refer to my website giving my web address at allwhich is www.oryan-projects.com

Your advice here is welcome

Regards
Rob

No, after you create the addon, you need to upload (or publish) the files in it.

This addon is by all means an independent site, which simply shares the same disk space as your main domain, that's why you can publish in public_html/gnjf
