Thread: addon domains

hi i already have one domain name up and running and i have requested a tranfer for my other domain name, is this classed as an addon domain, im not sure what an addon domain means but i have filled out info for new domain name in the addon section of control panel, have i done the right thing, can any one advise please

An addon domain is simple another domain name which uses/resides in one account(i.e. your first domain name/account.)
the addon is a seperate site with its own identity.
Until your other domain name has been transfered to vodahost, you can just
point the DNS to the vodahost server........

thanks for your reply, but having problem with new addon domain, recieved email to say new domain succesfuly transfered from previous host, but i want to start this site from scratch, but old site is still live on the web and when i go to publish new pages, it wont do it, i think there is something i havnt done, can anyone help with this, many thanks

Do you have the nameservers on the account pointed to VodaHost?

And when you publish, are you doing so to:

public_html/whatevertheaddonnameis

hi beth, im not sure about the name servers pointing to vodahost, how do i do this, im not sure what a name server is, although iv probably been there before but remind please, thanks for your help

amazing ive done it is up and running, i went to tutorials on changing name servers, for others who are having trouble finding where your domains are, type in vodahost domains in header and youl get to the right place to change your name servers, hope this helps someone,
