Question Sarah HK

My current website has .com.hk pre paid for 3 years I do not mind transferring to Vodahost but it seems this is not one of the domain names that can be transferred. Who do I contact to ask about this. Is it going to be a hassle? I need to get the new website up and running asap.
Thanks

Hi Sarah...

You can not transfer a .com.hk to VodaHost, this domain is heavily controlled and regulated by the HK authorities, you must update your name servers (DNS) and point it to us, This is very easy to do (takes 10 seconds) and your .com.hk domain will work on our servers, we will send you full instructions in your welcome letter.

Smile domain registration

Thanks for the info about the transfer but I am so impressed with BV so have finally decided to s**** the existing website n favour of Blue Voda. I found the domain name which is absolutely perfect, but now I need to ask if I need an IP address as I am not sure what that is, and if I need a package or just a domain name.
Please advise,
Sarah

Start with a domain and web hosting package, you can always get a dedicated IP at a later date.

Hi Sarah

Great that you are joining Voda Host, Welcome ... Just think for a minute though before you s**** your existing website, I mean continue to get your new names and sites going, but keep the other one, you may have traffic coming to it that you won't want to lose. So why not keep it and then you can always redirect it to your new sites ... this may keep you where you are and more ... just a thought for you to consider ....

Talking Re: Sarah HK

Thanks for the idea I might just do that since I am locked into a contract for the domain name etc.
