Karen,

First.. where did you buy the domain name? and second, are you sure its spelled correctly when you added it to your hosting? And do you have any links so we can look at the registration of the domain in question.

Karen

Hi Karen
Thanks for replying :)
I brought the Domain name from Blue Voda and i have checked all the spellings and they are correct on both my site and the registration emails etc and as for links ? how do i? i have the pages on the web building pages and 2 are published but thats where i discovered the other company using the same domain name. Is there any info as to how to let you have the link?

Hey Karen,
That page that comes up isn't necessarily another company. That is a sort of generic type of page that will keep showing until your published page shows.
In all liklihood if you just purchased your name last night it jsut hasn't happened yet.
I got the same sort of page until mine was working.
make sure you are publishing correctly and be patient - technically it can take up to 72 hours, though it usually doesn't.
Clever name, can hardly wait to see your site!

You have not set the nameservers yet, what you are seeing is generic holding page.

Do you understand the publishing thing yet for the second domain?

Make a folder in your bv folder on your computer and name it the name of your second site. Be absolutely certain you keep ALL OF your 2nd domain stuff there, every image, everything you use in that site.

When you publish, you publish the same way EXCEPT where it says public_html you add your second site name.

For instance,my main site is sebastopolparty.com, so when I publish pages for my main site, I just publish to public_html, like normal.

My second site is raynordescendents.com, so when I publish for my second site, I publish to public_html/raynordescendents

You have to be VERY CAREFUL and check everytime you publish that you have it right.because if you mess it up you can hose up your first site, especially if you use pages of the same name..

Does that make sense?
