Thread: Update DNS help please

I am trying to update my DNS...currently it is at godaddy. i saw the useful tutorial here but i had a question. At G.D., under CUSTOM NAMESERVERS, NameServer 1 starts out with NS5 and NameServer 2 starts out with NS6.

In the email that i got when i subscribed to BV hosting, I see the part that says NS1VODA and NS2VODA, so i assume obviously i delete the GD ones and replace them with these, but what are those 2 number next the NS1VODA and NS2VODA thats in the email?

They resemble IP addresses and are off by 1 from each other? do i ignore these 2 numbers and just go ahead and delete godaddy;s name servers ad replace them with the NS1VODA and NS2VODA? thanks in advance!

delete the defaults that Go Daddy has setup, and replace it with the exact nameservers that vodahost gave you. It should end with a .com (or some domain extension)

thanks flip. any idea how long it takes for the changes to take place?
