    Default Transferring my domain name

Hi, I am new to all this and I am abit confused. I have my daomain and hosting at smartyhost.com.au and I followed the instructions on your free domain transfer thread so everything is unlocked and I have my auth code, and I was going to send an email to your domains dept but I stopped. Do I have to open an account somewhere first or does sending the email somehow do this? I dont know what to do first! Or do I just have to change my name servers to vodahost? What does that mean? Will smartyhost still host my site and vh host my domain name? If so how do I transfer everything to Vodahost?
Thanks, I know I'm being vague...

Hi, 1st thing you will need to do is open a VH account (link) so you can host your web site. Once you have done this, you will be given details of your ip address & account detail so you can point your .com.au domain at the VH servers. I don’t believe you can transfer this domain outside of Australia, but can certainly point it to a VH server.

    Good luck.

Ah! You have a choice. If just a .com, you can then point it from where it is at the moment to a VH server, or transfer it to your VH account if you would like everything in one place.
