Thread: Subdomain? Addon? New site? Census pls.

Hi,

I have a business directory site, www.ufindabiz.com for businesses to list to the general public.

I am thinking of having a site for business to business now.

Should I get a new domain www.ufindabiz2.biz? or use www.ufindabiz.com/b2b? (Is that an addon? or subdomain?) I don't understand the difference....


Second part:

I would like the new site to be a duplicate in templates, etc as the original site.

What would be best?

If you actually purchase another domain name then this will be an addon domain. An add on domain will be it's own unique website, with it's own website address.

Subdomains are free and you can create them in your control panel. They become dependent on your main domain and accessible like this
www.subdomain.maindomain.com/nameofpage.html

It really depends whether or not you figure paying yearly for the new domain name is worth it or not. You also could have both within one domain (the exisiting domain) and optimize your pages for each division accordingly for search engines for both aspects of your website.
