Thread: Unparking a domain name

My main site is www.miscarriage-ni.org.uk (published)
My parked site is www.in-scents.org (published)

I have tried looking at the forum and tutorials, but can't get a handle on how to unpark my second domain. I know there is some way to make my site "point" to my VodaHost server names (the ones in my welcome email), but I am finding it difficult to understand what I need to do.

I would really appreciate some help and direction

Hi, if you have purchased your second domain from voda host, log into your vbs billing area - inside have a look for your domains and ensure the two servers are marked for that domain. If you purchased it elsewhere you will need to log into that registrar and point your domain to the two voda servers.

Next step is to log into your control panel, and choose the icon ADD ON Domain - add this domain on ... and then when you publish to this domain you will need to type the domain name after public_html/

public_html is the directory for your main domain

public_html/in-scents will be the directory for your second domain ...

As I say, type in-scents after public_html for your second domain publishing and remove it when you publish to your main domain.

Oh and remember, you will need a new folder on your computer named this domain and put your pages in there that you build for this domain, and you will do another index too ... same way again ... store these separately on your own computer though ..
