Thread: Mayday

I just bought a new domain name through Vodahostdomains (my 6th one so far). Everything went pretty smooth except that the .com isn't available so I had to register as .net.
I received an automated email from Vodahostdomains that the registration was successful.
I logged in control panel and addon domain sucessfully too.
I started to build my index page and published it also with success.
But when I browsed my new website on the internet, it showed another website with the same name.
I can still access my new website as a sub-domain of my main but obviously this is not what I registered for.
My big mistake was not to check the internet before buying the domain name.
My concerns are:
-Is it a flaw of Vodahostdomain program?
-Should I switch and go ahead buy another name? If so, am I elligible for a refund of the faulty one?

I just found out that the DNS of my new site is not the right ones yet, may be I should wait for a while?

It shows:
dns1.name-services.com
dns2.name-services.com
dns3.name-services.com
dns4.name-services.com
dns5.name-services.com

Instead of
ns3.vodahost.com
ns4.vodahost.com

Like my other ones. Do I have to change it or just wait? Thank you.

WooHoo it works!
After changing DNS to vodahost servers, it works like a charm. I guess the other people didn't purchase the domain name and the search engines point to them because they have the name on their website.
Amazing that you work on Sundays too Vodahost! Please disregard the support ticket that I just sent this morning. I was quite...hurry:)
