Thread: domian name change

at the end of january 2008 i would like to change the currant domain name www.northlondonriderz.co.uk to another (no name thought of just yet) but what i would like to know will this new domian name effect the phpbb forums i have now? or will i have to change phpbb forums and start again

Yes, the forums would not work with the new domain name. Most scripts allow you to change the domain name through the configuration.php file, so you may want to ask phpBB if you can do this with their script.

Why do you want to change the domain name? Usually, it's not a good idea - unless you're going in another direction entirely.
