Thread: How many add on domains can I have???

I'm adding my third domain name....I went to the addon domain
and added www.buildlogsplitter.com

Then I registered the DNS for
ns5.vodahost.com
ns6.vodahost.com

This was working tuesday, .....now it's not....it will only work if I
type in this URL http://www.buildlogsplitter.rusticmade.com

I know this is set up as an subdomain, but

I want to have http://www.buildlogsplitter.com

What am I doing wrong.

I know my name servers are right.

You probably added it wrong as an add-on domain.

Here's how I want the URL to look:

http://www.buildlogsplitter.com


where do I add the domain.....Subdomain or addon domain?

It will work like this: www.buildlogsplitter.rusticmade.com

But not like this: www.buildlogsplitter.com

I noticed when I was finished with my ADD-ON Domain that your DNS for the new add-on domain were
ns5 and ns6. and that's how I set it up when I purchased the new domain.

But my orginal account is: ns1 and ns2

Seeing that a add-on domain is a subdirectory of the orginal domain....
would'nt the dns setting be the same.

I have it figured out. The DNS will have to be what ever your orginal DNS is no matter when (Date) you add the "add-on-domain".

In my case it will be

ns1.vodahost.com
ns2.vodahost.com

When I read your files I was lead to believe that any domain name after a certain date would have to be:

ns5.vodahost.com
ns6.vodahost.com

Since I'm adding a "add-On_domain" I have to have my DNS settings
as the orginal Domain name. It only makes sense because the add-on domain will
have to go thru the orginal domain to the new subdirectory (add-on-domain) to work
