You park your domain only when you have purchased additional names that you do not want to use yet. You may also be tempted to buy a domain name because the offer was dirt cheap like $2/= per year and
you would like to use it at a later date!

Some companies also wants exclusivity on their domain name and does not want others to use the same domain name as theirs on .org, .info, .uk or .com.my etc., so they buy all the names and park them so others cant use them.
