Thread: temporary url

Hi,

I am planning to move my website to Vodahost. I have my own domain name but will need a temporary url to test the new website on Vodahost while the current website stays active. How does that work?

You still would need a voda host account. If you do decide to come here where one big happy family. I to at first was with another host only had one domain now I have three it was the best thing happened to me. You will be glad you did.

Signup for a VodaHost hosting account and point your
domain to the Vodahost servers.

Here is how............

A "temporary URL" is the URL assigned to you by your hosting service until the domain is attached (anywhere from 24 to 48 hours).....not something you get for free...

I suppose I could use the free domain that I am entitled to with a Vodahost account as a temporary "test" domain name and then let that one expire once I pointed the main domain name to your servers.

If you choose the free domain name with care, you could use it again later on..........or give it to me...................lol

You need to sign up for a hosting account with VodaHost before you can get a free domain .

Just the Domain alone without a hosting account is just like a
Boat out of water.
